ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos was caught on-air frantically signalling to cut the network’s feed as White House attorney Jay Sekulow spoke about President Trump’s impeachment defense.
On Saturday, the White House’s official Twitter account shared the 18-second clip of Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton adviser, making the throat-slashing gesture before realising he was on camera.
“Caught!” the White House’s tweet read. “ABC’s Stephanopoulos trying to cut off the President’s lead counsel.”
