Inciting people to rage against their neighbour in the name of the environment, or because of concerns about the climate, has been a constant part of human society’s obsession with who’s to blame for acts of God, or natural disasters. In the pagan tribal cultures of the Americas, a bad crop meant another child sacrifice. Described by Cortez as ‘the most horrid and abominable custom; where many girls and boys and even adults, and in the presence of these idols they open their chests while they are still alive and take out their hearts and entrails and burn them before…

It’s a peculiar thing to see Australians, who naturally have a caustic view of Americans, along with contempt and suspicion of any kind of pageantry and ceremony, embrace American cultural traditions which involve pageantry, and ceremony. If the irony fits, wear it. None of what I’ve just said is untrue. Remember the hate and mockery thrown at Tony Abbott when his government reinstated knights and dame honours for Australians? Only to have Malcolm Turnbull ditch it, after he led the takedown of Abbott’s reign as Prime Minister, and was himself enthroned as Prime Minister in a bloodless coup. Should Australians completely…

Ottawa’s largest school board is planning on collecting demographic data from all its students, including the sexual orientation and gender identity of children as young as 4-years-old. Starting November 26, all Ottawa-Carleton District School Board students will be asked for their personal information, including details relating to their race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity. Jacqueline Lawrence, the board’s diversity and equity coordinator, said the information will help administrators and teachers better understand the students and their needs. Speaking to CBC Radio, Lawrence said, “If we don’t understand the specific types of support that students need, then we’ll not be…

The Trudeau era and its burgeoning “progressive” totalitarianism got an extension this week as Canadians voted. Consequently, Canadian Liberals were reinstated, winning 157 seats, against the Conservatives who secured 121. Conservatives scored a narrow loss, winning the popular vote at 34.4%, but not securing enough seats to win a majority. [i] In an opinion piece for Crisis Magazine, Canadian Professor Emeritus at St. Jerome’s University, Donald, DeMarco, presented a grim analysis of Canada’s Trudeaun landscape. DeMarco expressed concern about apathy, and a general lack of awareness at the slow erosion of hard-won, tried and true, classical liberal freedoms, stating that…

The Sun reported last week that UK Army chiefs will reconsider a ban on male soldiers wearing make-up after they were accused of double-standards for allowing make-up to be worn by female soldiers only. A leaked document showing guidelines on “equality, diversity and inclusion” for British soldiers in Canada said that for men “make-up is not to be worn”, however for women, make-up is permitted provided it’s “inconspicuous.” A British Army spokesperson told The Sun: “As an inclusive employer that recognises the diversity of its personnel, we are currently in the process of revising our guidance in this area to…

When even a half-decent human being spots an elderly woman attempting to cross a street, their first instinct might be to offer some sort of assistance. But apparently that’s not the case if you’re a deranged leftist on a mission to clean the streets of “intolerance” and “hate.” When a group of Antifa-style thugs were confronted with an elderly woman with a walking frame attempting to cross the road, they decided to abuse and intimidate her, because, you know, “love trumps hate.” Footage shows the masked rioters blocking the woman’s path, refusing to let her pass, while screaming in her…

On the same day that Greta Thunberg gave her impassioned speech to the UN, a group of more than 500 prominent climate scientists and professionals submitted a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, stating “there is no climate emergency, and therefore, no cause for panic and alarm.” The group, led by Professor Guus Berkhout, co-founder of the Climate Intelligence Foundation (CLINTEL) sent the European Climate Declaration along with a registered letter to the UN’s António Guterres, warning the “general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose,” and “therefore, it…

In June 2017, online economist magazine Quartz predicted that ‘as climate changes effects become harsher and more unexpected climate change could become even harder to study’. Quartz was buffing up an incident where scientists from Canada, out researching the impact of sea ice on Hudson Bay became hindered by what is alleged to have been large chunks of ice from the Arctic blocking their way. Quartz called these ‘severe conditions’ the consequence of climate change. As reported by Phys.org the scientists had to abandon their trip over safety concerns. Lead researchers on the expedition were adamant that the ice was…

A Canadian transgender activist has accused more than a dozen female-only beauticians of discrimination after they refused to wax his male genitals. Jessica Yaniv, born Jonathan Yaniv, has reportedly filed multiple complaints with the Human Rights Council (HRC) in British Columbia accusing the women of denying him service based on his gender identity, The Post Millennial reports. “The people that discriminated against me are forcing their beliefs on society,” Yaniv claimed during the tribunal hearing, who also equated the denial of service to neo-Nazism. Two of the women who refused to touch Yaniv’s genitals have already been forced out of…

In a recent interview with Andrew Denton, Madonna has said that she wants to challenge the Pope regarding the Catholic Church’s opposition to abortion. Not only that, but she double-down and said that Jesus would support a woman’s right to choose. Is it just me, or is Madonna looking and sounding like the product of a computer-generated deep fake? But there’s a fundamental problem with her approach here, and it’s that it betrays the underlying feminist rhetoric of #NoUterusNoOpinion. Because both the Pope and Jesus are men. So, doesn’t that mean that their opinions should be automatically excluded? For example,…

VICE Canada is celebrating the next generation of drag queens with a video promoting a new documentary about preteen drag kids. The documentary follows four young boys dressed as sexualised women parading about on stage for the entertainment of adults. In August 2016, I posted a quick response to the hysteria surrounding the election of Donald Trump. I headlined that post, ‘Why Trump is Not Hitler, & Why American Evangelicals Are Not German Christians’. My aim was to counter a lot of what I was seeing posted on social media by people who were usually level-headed and intellectually responsible. It was disappointing to see normally sane individuals suddenly join in the anti-trump rants – which really were, I’m angry because the Leftist power structures, and its monopoly on power, has been diminished – tantrums. Worse still, some Christian conservative academics…

One woman dies every week at the hands of their partner in Australia. It’s a phrase we hear often; as if it is a pandemic. It’s a phrase that says, ‘Hey! If you see a man today, please remind him not to kill his partner. Because after all, if you don’t remind men on a daily basis to not kill their partner, they might forget and accidentally commit a horrific homicide!’ Seemingly the perpetrators of these horrific crimes aren’t aware that their actions are morally repugnant. They obviously need an awareness campaign to open their eyes. During these lectures we…

Are we fighting the postmodernists with one hand tied behind our backs? Intellectual battles are the cognitive lifeblood of a healthy society. Life is complicated and the stakes are high, so thoughtful and passionate people have lots of arguments. Only by argument can we sort out the facts about complicated matters. Only by putting our ideas to the test of evidence and by being willing to change our minds can we make progress. Intellectual fighting is not often fun, but it is better than settling our differences by physical fighting. The advantage of being an intelligent species, Austrian philosopher Karl…

Dr Douglas Farrow said when Canada passed same-sex marriage legislation, consequential amendments to existing law followed. Among those consequential amendments was the language of natural parents and natural parent/child relations. According to Dr Farrow, such language was “struck from Canadian law and replaced with legal parent, legal parent/child relationships.” “Now you can see when that happens that the power of the state is hugely enhanced,” Dr Farrow added. “Hence the question asked by our own chief justice: ‘Who owns the children?’ Increasingly, the answer is the state owns the children and allots them, as it were.” WATCH:
