Toymaker Mattel announced on Wednesday their plans to launch a new gender-fluid line of dolls, claiming “kids don’t want their toys dictated by gender norms.”
The gender-bending dolls will be part of the Creatable World line, which will include six different doll kits available in a variety of skin tones. The kits will include one gender-neutral doll, short and long hairstyles and different clothing options.
“Toys are a reflection of culture and as the world continues to celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity, we felt it was time to create a doll line free of labels,” Kim Culmone, Senior Vice President of Mattel Fashion Doll Design said in a statement.
“Through research, we heard that kids don’t want their toys dictated by gender norms,” Culmone added. “This line allows all kids to express themselves freely which is why it resonates so strongly with them.”
Mattel tested the doll with 250 families, including 15 children who supposedly identify as transgender or gender-fluid.
Monica Greger, head of global consumer insights at Mattel told the New York Post: “There were a couple of gender-creative kids who told us that they dreaded Christmas day because they knew whatever they got under the Christmas tree, it wasn’t made for them.
“This is the first doll that you can find under the tree and see is for them because it can be for anyone.”
This is nothing new. The Left has been using children as a tool to wage war on the culture for years. They essentially recruit kids to push an ideology so that anyone who opposes that ideology can be accused of wishing harm on vulnerable children.
This tactic only demonstrates that their ideologies can’t survive reasonable debate. They must appeal to the emotion, rather than the intellect.
It’s always been this way. That’s why they don’t debate immigration, they just label their opponents “xenophobic racists.” They don’t debate LGBTQ ideology, they just label their opponents “homophobic.” They don’t debate transgenderism, they just label their opponents “transphobic.” They don’t debate Islam, they just label their opponents “Islamophobic.”
Now they expect us to believe that kids have issues with gender norms, as though these ideas are entirely their own and not influenced by their parents? But it’s not always parents pushing this agenda either. Let’s not forget many of the folks pushing these ideologies are in relationships that cannot produce their own children. That means they need to recruit our kids to their side, and they’re doing so relentlessly through television, entertainment, and sex education classes.
More than ever, parents need to ensure that they’re the primary influence in their children’s lives. As John Flavel once said: “If you neglect your children in the way of holiness, will the devil neglect to instruct them in the way of wickedness? No… if ground be uncultivated, weeds will spring.”
