President Donald Trump made an unannounced appearance at McLean Bible Church in Vienna, Virginia on Sunday morning.
The President reportedly visited the church to pray with Pastor David Platt for the victims of the Friday Virginia Beach shooting, which saw a gunman opened fire killing twelve people.
With the President on stage, Platt made reference to 1 Timothy 2:1-2, which states:
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
“There was a call to, particularly on this Sunday, pray for our President,” Platt said. “We don’t want to do that just on this Sunday. We want to do that continually, day in and day out.”
Platt then asked the congregation to bow their heads and pray with him for President Trump.

Last week Franklin Graham urged Christian leaders to partake in a National Day of Prayer for the President by taking a moment on June 2 to pray for President Trump.
“I don’t believe any president in the history of this nation has been attacked more than Donald Trump,” Graham said in a video retweeted by the President. “He’s our President and if he succeeds, we all benefit.”
