Emily spent 7 years living out her same-sex attractions while being outspoken about God’s acceptance of her lifestyle. After her engagement with her female partner ended, she was invited to a Bible study. This weekly examination of the holiness of God challenged her day after day until her life completely changed.
People say to me all the time, ‘I was born this way.’ I say, OK, me too. You’re not born with right affections, that’s why Jesus had to come. You feeling a desire to sin just proves you need grace, just like me. It’s not gay to straight. It’s lost to saved.
