A bus driver in the UK has been suspended after he refused to drive a bus that promotes LGBTQ Pride. Rebecca Sears, a passenger on the bus, claimed the driver said he was swapping buses with another driver because “this bus promotes homosexuality and I refuse to drive it.” Ms Sears reported the driver’s remarks to management at Konectbus, a Norfolk bus service that’s run by Go East Anglia, who then immediately suspended the driver. The world’s largest furniture retailer has fired an employee for quoting Bible verses after staff were told to participate in a gay-pride event. The long-term employee, known only as Tomasz K, was sacked by IKEA after he refused to withdraw critical comments he posted on the company intranet which included quotes from the Bible. Madonna’s promoters are firing back at the New York Post for allegedly lying about poor ticket sales for the artist. At the beginning of June, the New York Post’s Richard Morgan reported that ticket sales for Madonna concerts promoting her latest album, ‘Madame X’, were lagging and had ‘tarnished’ the tour. A council in Victoria have voted to remove the Australian flag from their iconic town clock tower and replace it with a gay pride rainbow flag.
