Progressivism has become so pervasive that it’s about time that a children’s book is written on the political left. We’ve all been wanting to understand those big words that are thrown around time and time again and so, for social education of knuckle-dragging-cave-dwelling-deplorables everywhere, here are your 21st century ABC’s. A is for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez AOC: The Fresh New Face of the Democratic Party, or as Ben Shapiro says, “So fresh. So face.” Never before have the ideals of communism been espoused in such eloquence and grandeur than through the lips of this 21st century feminist prophet. According to AOC,…

Monty Python star John Cleese took to Twitter earlier this week claiming that London was no longer an English city. The 79-year-old actor who has openly supported Brexit tweeted: “Some years ago I opined that London was not really an English city any more. Since then, virtually all my friends from abroad have confirmed my observation. So there must be some truth in it… I note also that London was the UK city that voted most strongly to remain in the EU.” In 2011, Cleese “sparked fury” after he suggested multiculturalism in London caused English culture to disappear. “I’m not…

It is slowly starting to dawn on some Labor voters that Australians with a traditional Christian worldview are feeling somewhat targeted. Entirely unremarkable beliefs consistent with the last few millennia of Christian doctrine have somehow become as repulsive as racism. Instead of debating our ideas, self-described ‘progressives’ attribute a diagnosis of phobia, a pathological mental disorder. Labor frontbencher Chris Bowen belled the cat, warning that religious Australians believe the ALP has abandoned them, according to a report in today’s The Australian. “I have noticed as I have been around during the election campaign, and even in the days since, how…

According to Sky News, Ms Philips was invited to the area by the headteacher who wanted to introduce “exclusion zones” to protect children…

Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Cairo, Vienna, St Petersberg, Venice, Rio de Janeiro. So many great cities. So many culturally identifiable features and attractions. That’s what makes the world fascinating, inspiring people to travel and experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere in each of these unique places. Australia, a vast land of desert, sun and surf. A climate as varied as the many different backgrounds of people now residing in her cities. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth are quite the melting pots of cultures. A good thing, I hear many say. They bring a variety of foods, clothing and perspectives that broaden…

Israel Folau has found himself in hot water again after the rugby star shared a graphic on Instagram paraphrasing a portion of the New Testament. The image, which has received over 11k likes since it was published yesterday, states: “WARNING: Drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists, idolaters, Hell awaits you. It just so happens this year (2019) that Easter Sunday and Anzac Day fall near one another – on the 21 April and 25 April respectively. Given that the New Testament does not over-emphasise days (Gal.4:10-11), one is still meant, as an Australian, to appreciate Anzac Day in some kind of civil sense, and as a Christian, to recognise that Jesus Christ defeated death forever on Easter Sunday. However, one cannot help noticing that as Western society unravels at the seams, the celebration of days becomes more problematic, and indeed vacuous. In a secular society, Anzac Day – like Harmony…

In an age of shallow thinking, it has become all too easy to pass something off as a value – when virtue is what is meant – and sweep the population along in a certain way of thinking – or non-thinking. An example of this is ‘change’. It is like the word ‘diversity’ and is almost invariably associated with whatever is good or progressive. To say that something has not changed for some time is a sure way of damning it. Like diversity, change goes both ways; it is not a synonym for ‘improvement’. When we look at old photographs…

The University of Technology Sydney has introduced “all gender” bathrooms in an effort to fulfill their commitment to being a university with a “culture of inclusion.” The all gender bathrooms can be found in ten UTS campus buildings, including the university’s main tower building. A statement from UTS reads: “Some people within our community don’t identify with traditional binary genders (male and female). Others don’t feel comfortable using a bathroom designated by gender, sometimes because they’ve had a negative experience using a single-gender bathroom due to their appearance or gender identity. “All gender bathrooms provide a space that can be…

Two years after marriage was redefined in Massachusetts, David Parker’s son brought home a book from his kindergarten classroom. The following year, Rob and Robin Wirthlin had a similar experience when their seven year old son, and his class, were read a book about the marriage of two homosexual characters. The parents requested prior notification and the opportunity to opt out when the subject of sexuality was being discussed. Their request was rejected. Soon after Parker met with the school principal and the curriculum director to discuss the…

New Zealand is fast becoming one of the most “progressive” left-wing nations in the world, particularly when it comes to LGBTQI and gender related issues. Their most recent pursuit revolves around the white-bearded, red-suited, plump and jolly old man, who in modern folklore delivers presents to children at Christmas time. That’s right, even a fictional character invented to bring joy to children around the globe has been deemed “offensive” in New Zealand. The Farmers Santa Parade marks the start of the Christmas season and has brought joy to the children of Auckland for eighty four years. For the last five years,…

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Rudolph the Marginalized Reindeer? The 1964 children’s Christmas classic is “seriously problematic,” according to HuffPost. A video posted on Twitter claims, viewers are noticing the tale may not be so jolly after all. Two random individuals are then quoted, with blue verification check marks, although the first account is not currently verified, and the second, doesn’t exist. “Yearly reminder that Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is a parable on racism and homophobia with Santa as a bigoted exploitative pr-ck,” the first tweet read. “Santa’s operation is a HR nightmare and in serious need of diversity…

The failure of multiculturalism is that it generally assumes all cultures are equal, or at least, that all cultures share the same vague commitment to the arbitrary notion of diversity in harmony. In reality, this is simply not the case. Time after time we witness countless examples of those, particularly from Islamic cultures, refusing to harmoniously exist alongside those who do not share their religious, moral or political beliefs. Today we have just another example of this very thing taking place, but what’s worse, we now have authorities and people in power operating to preserve the sensitivities of people from…

According to the Oxford Dictionary, a Social Justice Warrior is ‘a person who expresses or promotes socially progressive views.’ The online Urban dictionary offers a more substantial explanation: A pejorative term for an individual who repeatedly and vehemently engages in arguments on social justice on the Internet, often in a shallow or not well-thought-out way, for the purpose of raising their own personal reputation. A social justice warrior, or SJW, does not necessarily strongly believe all that they say, or even care about the groups they are fighting on behalf of. They typically repeat points from whoever is the most…

In 1944, C.S Lewis wrote: “The demand for equality has two sources; First, the noble: the desire for fair play. Second, the mean-spirited: the hatred of superiority. If you seek to appease envy: 1. you will not succeed. Envy is insatiable. 2. you are trying to introduce equality where equality is fatal. “Political democracy is doomed if it tries to extend its demand for equality into the higher spheres of beauty, virtue and truth. Neither of which are democratic. Ethical, intellectual or aesthetic democracy is death.” Lewis’ position can be read as a push back against extreme egalitarianism and the quagmire…
