A legal ban on eating dogs has been blocked by Justice Ministry bureaucrats in the UK for fear of offending cultural sensitivities. Michael Grove, former DEFRA Secretary, pushed for the new law that would make possession of dog and cat meat a criminal offence in the UK with the hope that it would send a powerful message to South-East Asian countries where the practice is still rife. According to The Sun, environment ministers drew up a new criminal offence in Britain for possessing dog and cat meat, however, “nervous civil servants” stopped the “ground-breaking move” because it would be “culturally…

A court in the Netherlands has acquitted a doctor accused of euthanizing an unwilling patient. In the first-ever case of its kind, Dutch authorities accused the doctor of performing euthanasia on an unwilling patient after a regional review board found the doctor had “overstepped the mark” by euthanising a 74-year old woman whose final will was “unclear and contradictory.” Prosecutors argued that although the woman, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, had regularly stated that she wanted to die and reportedly wrote a declaration four years earlier, she also said on other occasions that she did not want to die, which meant…

A Grand Mufti was approved to read from the Quran at Westminster Abbey last Tuesday during a memorial service for a British politician. According to columnist Rev Dr Jules Gomes, the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein Kavazović, was invited to read a portion of the Quran from the cathedral lectern during a Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Paddy Ashdown, a diplomat who served as Leader of the Liberal Democrats from 1988 to 1999. Rev Dr Gavin Ashenden, the former chaplain to the Queen, said the reading repudiates Jesus by validating Islam and asserting the legitimacy of…

Thousands of pro-life families gathered at Sydney’s Hyde Park on Sunday afternoon to take a stand for the lives of the most vulnerable members of our society. The ‘Stand for Life’ rally, which reportedly attracted 10,000 people, was organised in response to one of the most radical abortion bills in the country. The Reproductive Healthcare Reform Bill 2019, as it’s euphemistically named, will legalise abortion on demand, by any method, up to 22-weeks. Beyond that point, right up until birth, all that is required for an abortion is the consent of two abortion doctors. The bill even prevents an aborted…

The South Australian butcher accused of vilifying Muslims with a “Non-Halal Certified” sign has refused to remove the signage from the shopfront window. The Advertising Standards Community Panel ruled earlier this month that the Adelaide-based business breached the Advertisers Code of Ethics by informing customers that their food products were not halal certified. According to the Ad Standards Panel, the sign incites hatred and contempt of Muslims and would have been less likely to breach advertising standards if the message said, “Unfortunately, non Halal.” The panel also took issue with the fact that the wording was accompanied by imagery of…

A college in Ohio is teaching students that pedophilia is a “sexual orientation” that could be part of the “acceptance of diverse sexual identities.” A student from the college tweeted a photograph of a lecture slide titled, “Pedophilia as a Sexual Orientation.” “An actual topic we discussed in class at a State University after watching in 8 minute Vice News video showcasing self-identified pedophiles. This is going to be mainstreamed,” the student said. The remains of more than 2,200 unborn babies have been discovered at the home of a former abortion doctor who died earlier this month. Dr Ulrich Klopfer, who is thought to have performed tens of thousands of abortions, collected 2,246 medically preserved fetuses at his home in Will County, Illinois. Family members made the gruesome discovery while going through Klopfer’s private property following his death on September 3. An attorney for the family notified the coroner’s office of the find. According to a statement released by the Will County Sheriff’s Office, police found no evidence that any medical procedure was…

LifeChoice Australia has captured a mob of pro-abortion advocates in Sydney parading their utter disdain for human life. In a 20-second clip uploaded to social media, the crowd of pro-abort protesters can be heard chanting: “We will fight. We will win. Put the fetus in the bin.” Once upon a time, pro-aborts used to pretend they thought abortion was ugly but at times necessary. Keep it safe, legal, and rare, they’d say. Now they unashamedly celebrate the slaughter of the unborn, push for easier access to kill babies, and publicly #shoutyourabortion as though killing your own child is a badge…

A Victorian teacher who was allegedly unwilling to adhere to a Christian school’s Statement of Faith which defined marriage as a union “only between a male and female” is suing her former employer for discrimination. Burger King in South Africa is removing the word “ham” from “hamburgers” in an effort to accommodate Muslim customers and “be more respectful” of Islamic beliefs. According to Business Insider: “On Friday the chain confirmed it has changed the names of three of its products. What was previously known as a ‘Double Spicy Hamburger’ will now just be a ‘Double Spicy Burger’; the ‘Triple Hamburger with Cheese’ becomes the ‘Triple Burger with Cheese’, and ‘Hamburger King Jr’ on the kid’s menu will now be just a ‘Kids Burger’.” Despite the fact that hamburgers don’t actually contain pork products, the chain…

President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, is staying true to his promise to “combat the Marxist rubbish that has spread in educational institutions.” Last week, the President announced he’s preparing legislation to protect young children from the spread of LGBTQ gender ideology in public primary schools. President Bolsonar, dubbed ‘Trump of the Tropics,’ made the announcement on Twitter on September 3, saying he has instructed the Ministry of Education “to prepare a draft law that prohibits gender ideology in elementary schools.” According to the President, the legislation prohibiting the spread of LGBTQ ideology will be carried out “with a view towards…

It sounds more like a headline you’d expect to read over at The Babylon Bee. Astonishingly, and unfortunately, it’s not. The line between reality and satire continues to become harder and harder to identify as society spirals further into their post-Christian, relativist pit of absurdity. Staff at Sea Life London have decided not to assign a gender to a Gentoo penguin chick because gender is more of a human construct. The chick, which is yet to be named, was also placed into the care of a same-sex penguin couple at the aquarium. But then again, can staff at Sea Life…

If the saying, “Get Woke, Go Broke” is true, Rich Uncle Pennybags is about to flip the gameboard and storm out of the room. The geniuses over at Hasbro have just introduced their latest version of Monopoly, with a feminist twist: Female players will make more money than men. Unlike the classic game, women will collect $240 Monopoly bucks when they pass “GO”, while male players will collect the usual $200. It’s “a fun new take on the game that creates a world where women have an advantage often enjoyed by men,” the creators said in a statement. “But don’t…

A butcher in South Australia has breached the Advertisers Code of Ethics by marking non-halal approved food products as “Non-Halal Certified,” according to the Advertising Standards Community Panel. The panel was in agreement with a complaint that argued the sign, which appeared on the shopfront window, “pokes fun” at Muslims and “perpetuates a culture of vilification towards religious minorities, that results in harm towards them.” The Adelaide-based business said the sticker was not intended to offend, but to inform shoppers that their food products are not halal certified. Responding to the complaint, the business said: “The sign is only stating…

A Victorian MP is pushing to broaden the state’s anti-vilification laws in an effort to crack down on unapproved speech. Victorian upper house MP Fiona Patten, leader of the Reason Party — formerly known as the Sex Party — proposed the amendments to the Racial and Religious Tolerance Bill 2001 to include gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. The changes would also include substituting “race” with “protected attribute” and substituting “incites” with “likely to incite hatred against, serious contempt for, or revulsion or severe ridicule of, that person or class of persons.” According to Patten, “Hate speech…

“All sides are anti-science.” I’m watching psychologist professors Jonathon Haidt and Jordan Peterson on YouTube discussing polarisation and the left-ward bias of our Universities. Haidt says that an anti-science trend emerged among conservatives in relatively recent times. “To be anti-evolutionary… is actually what’s happening on the left now, too,” Peterson adds. His prediction is that having taken the humanities, those leftist ‘neo-Marxists’ will be targeting the biology school next. He quotes Brett Weinstein, “evolutionary biology has something in it to offend everyone.” It was a unique experience for me as I read A. N. Wilson’s (2017) biography of Charles Darwin,…

A Melbourne TAFE has suspended a number of teachers for sharing an ‘Islamophobic’ quote that left a Muslim student feeling “disempowered.” The offending quote appeared on a lecture slide from a subject on diversity and was taken from American conservative author Brigitte Gabriel, who had suggested that while “most Muslims are peaceful”, up to “300-million people are radicals who want to destroy and murder us.” Ms Gabriel was raised in Lebanon until, at the age of ten, radical Islamists blew up her house, burying her under the burning rubble. Miraculously, Ms Gabriel survived the attack but spent the next two-and-a-half…

Will Witt of PragerU recently hit the streets of Echo Park, Los Angeles to ask folks if babies in a womb (unborn humans) should have the same rights and protections as eagle eggs (unborn eagles). While bald eagle eggs are protected under federal law, there are no federal laws protecting children from abortion. As you might expect, the people quick to defend the rights of unborn eagles, were even quicker to deny those same rights to unborn humans. Responses to the petition included: “Babies are gross,” “Eagles aren’t raped,” and “A human woman should have more rights (i.e. to kill…
