Ms Monopoly: Feminist edition gives women more money than men so women can “have an advantage often enjoyed by men”

If the saying, “Get Woke, Go Broke” is true, Rich Uncle Pennybags is about to flip the gameboard and storm out of the room. The geniuses over at Hasbro have just introduced their latest version of Monopoly, with a feminist twist: Female players will make more money than men. Unlike the classic game, women will collect $240 Monopoly bucks when they pass “GO”, while male players will collect the usual $200. It’s “a fun new take on the game that creates a world where women have an advantage often enjoyed by men,” the creators said in a statement. “But don’t……

“But don’t worry, if men play their cards right, they can make more money too.”

And that’s not the only difference, according to CNN. Instead of buying property (that belongs to the state anyway, right?) players will invest in inventions created by women.

The question is, how is this not incredibly patronising to women? If you were to enter a running race and everybody agreed you should start running 30-seconds ahead of everyone else just to “level the playing field”, would you not find that offensive?

It’s offensive because the other competitors thought you so incompetent, so unlikely to win, that even with a 30-second head start there’s no guarantee you’ll even earn a place.

PragerU responded to the announcement of Ms Monopoly by sharing a video they published back in 2017. The video, featuring Christina Hoff Sommers, Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, answers the question, is there really a gender wage gap?

Hate Speech Laws Are Just Blasphemy Laws

Hate Speech Laws Are Just Blasphemy Laws

"Blasphemy laws protect a society’s sacred object from verbal violation. Hate speech laws do the same, only the sacred object has changed. They are secularism’s answer to blasphemy law: enforcing reverence for the system’s ultimate values while denying that those values are religious at all."

Hate Speech Laws Are an Admission of Government Failure

"Hate speech laws are evidence that our governments can no longer inspire loyalty, trust, or solidarity. They are an admission that policymakers have no unifying vision capable of bringing diverse people together voluntarily. So instead, they use force."

UK Leads Talks With Canada and Australia on Potential X Ban

"Free communication has always posed a problem for those who seek to centralise authority. Open platforms like X allow claims to be challenged, narratives to be contested, and power to be scrutinised. That is precisely why they become targets when governments feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, or threatened."
