Irony of ironies! The president of Planned Parenthood has condemned separating migrant children from their parents, warning it can cause physical and emotional harm.

Leana Wen on Saturday tweeted: “Forcibly removing a child from their parents or guardian can cause lifelong physical and emotional harm to the child’s well-being. #HowDareYou”

“How dare you”? Really, Leana? Are you really going to set yourself up as an advocate for the rights and wellbeing of children? Are you honestly lacking so much in self-awareness that you can’t see the blatant hypocrisy in your own statement?

Must you be reminded that you’re the president of an organisation that removes over 320,000 children from their parents each and every year? That’s 800 children every day, one child every 98-seconds.

Charles Spurgeon once rightly said, “Of all the things in the world that stink in the nostrils of men, hypocrisy is the worst.”

How dare you forcibly separate a child from his or her parents? Unless you’re forcibly removing them limb by limb with forceps or a vacuum, right Leana?
