This is what happens when you don’t punish criminals. No punishment, no deterrent. Paramedics in Victoria have been given a list of more than 200 ‘no-go zones’ to keep them safe from potential attackers.
This comes after two women were spared jail time for violently assaulting a 63-year-old paramedic. Judge Cotterell told the court, “imposing the [minimum] sentence at this stage would achieve little.”
When the guilty are spared, the innocent will suffer.
