Wake up and smell the hypocrisy, with This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Take a moment to compare the two exchanges below. In the first video, Schofield and Willoughby mock Christians for believing people can’t change their biological genders, branding their view “utterly abhorrent” and “medieval.”
Schofield: “You said, ‘The issue lies with the fact that recognising gender fluidity conflicts sharply with your religious beliefs. It’s not unreasonable to call someone a girl if they are born a girl.’ And that in itself could lead you straight back into the fire because that is not the way now that we are led to believe that’s how we should be addressing children… Children do kill themselves! … You’re both Christians. It doesn’t seem very Christian to me for you to be so intransigent… So, in your eyes, it’s not possible to be born in the wrong body?… I’m finding this utterly abhorrent… Well, we’ll get back to the show and back to 2017 and not medieval Britain in just a moment…”
Now, compare that to the second video in which Schofield appears visibly stunned as a guest details her transition from white to black. The clip begins with Schofield face palming as the woman details her belief that she can change her biological ethnicity.
Schofield: “You understand that race and colour is much more than skin deep. It’s heritage, and pedigree and tradition, and history, and, and, and struggle – it’s all of those things that you can’t hope to get anywhere near with three tanning injections.”
Selective science and hypocrisy at its finest.
