UK Labour to abolish private schools and ‘redistribute’ their funds and property

The British Labour Party has pledged to end private schools by “integrating” them into the state sector and redistributing their funds and property if they win the next election. Labour delegates approved a motion this week to include the commitment in the party’s next general election manifesto, which would see endowments, investments and properties held by private schools “redistributed democratically and fairly across the country’s educational institutions.” Labour members reportedly said a government led by Jeremy Corbyn would “challenge the elite privilege of private schools” and claimed that “the ongoing existence of private schools is incompatible with Labour’s pledge to……

The British Labour Party has pledged to end private schools by “integrating” them into the state sector and redistributing their funds and property if they win the next election.

Labour delegates approved a motion this week to include the commitment in the party’s next general election manifesto, which would see endowments, investments and properties held by private schools “redistributed democratically and fairly across the country’s educational institutions.”

Labour members reportedly said a government led by Jeremy Corbyn would “challenge the elite privilege of private schools” and claimed that “the ongoing existence of private schools is incompatible with Labour’s pledge to promote social justice.”

The group, Labour Against Private Schools, circulated the motion earlier this year and launched a campaign called ‘Abolish Eton’, the name of the school Prime Minister Boris Johnson attended.

Holly Rigby, a spokesperson for Abolish Eton called Labour’s commitment to end private schooling a “huge leap forward for grassroots Labour members”.

“We will dismantle systems of privilege and inequality and build a society that works for the millions and not the millionaires,” Rigby said.

Not only do these Communists think the state has a right to other people’s endowments, investments and properties, they also genuinely believe they have the right to educate your children. In fact, they believe the state should have greater influence on kids, and greater involvement in their upbringing, than parents.

It was only last year that a teacher speaking at a 2018 Labour Party Conference said that if children were raised properly, they would not grow up to embrace center-right political views.

“I’ve never met a bad four-year-old,” speaker Sion Rickard said. “I’ve never met a four year old that was evil, so every child has a chance, and if we give them a proper education, we’ll empty our prisons… we’ll have much less problems with the NHS, social issues, we’ll probably not have any Tories, because we’ll have brought up our kids properly.”

Karl Marx once said, “The theory of Communism may be summed up in one sentence: Abolish all private property.” Don’t think for a moment that doesn’t now extend to any claim you think you have on your own children, how they are raised and where they go to school.

He who controls the textbooks controls the state, and he who owns the youth gains the future.

Australia does not need race-based antisemitism laws; it needs a pro-Australian legal framework that applies equally to all and punishes harmful conduct regardless of who commits it or who the victim is.
