New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has said the country will pause for two minutes of silence on Friday, followed by the Muslim call to prayer which will be broadcast across the nation.
Ardern told reporters on Wednesday, “There is a desire among New Zealanders to mark the week that has past since the terrorist attack. Two acknowledge this there will be a two-minute silence on Friday.”
“We will also broadcast nationally via TVNZ and Radio New Zealand the call to prayer,” she said.
