Illinois governor signs extreme bill allowing abortions up to the moment of birth

On Wednesday, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed into law, what many are calling, one of the worst and most extreme abortion bills ever.

According to Life Site News, “the so-called Reproductive Health Act (RHA) codifies a ‘fundamental right’ to abortion, establishes ‘that a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus, does not have independent rights under the law,’ and repeals numerous restrictions and regulations on abortion, including protections against taxpayer funding of abortion and protections for infants after failed abortions.”

The legislation, which Pritzker praised as a “beacon of hope” for “women’s fundamental rights,” allows abortion up to the moment of birth, for any reason whatsoever.

Jill Stanek, Chair of Susan B. Anthony List, said the bill is so radical that “they even went out of their way to repeal the state’s ban on barbaric partial-birth abortions.”

Just a quick reminder that Illinois passed a law that legalizes partially delivering a full-term, ~7lb, living, moving, breathing, kicking baby by making an incision in the back of her head and sucking her brain out until her skull collapses. This is not healthcare.

Last month, Pastor Corey Musgrave of Fairfield’s New Beginnings Church opened in prayer before the Illinois State House by asking God to judge the state for the sanctioned destruction of innocence.

Lord, I also confess, as an eighth generation son of Illinois, that this state has decided to go it’s own way apart from you… Lord, you have told us the things that you hate, and among them are hands that shed innocent blood.

I stand here in this house, in this high place in Illinois and ask you, O God, creator of heaven and earth, if there is any blood more innocent than a baby that is wonderfully being created in the womb? God, those unborn children are not hidden from you…

God, we have made our appeals to the leaders of Illinois this week on behalf of those innocent babies who do not yet have a voice. We have been a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves as you have commanded us. Those appeals were denied, but we have one final appeal left and that is to the courts of Heaven.

God Almighty, make an appeal to Heaven today, to you the perfect Judge, the one who presides over Heaven’s court, I ask you to rise up, O God, and judge Illinois for the sanctioned destruction of the innocent unborn. For when your judgments are in this state the inhabitants of Illinois learn righteousness.”
