Tommy Robinson has reportedly been arrested at a holiday park after an altercation with a man who grabbed his young daughters behind.
According to TR News, Robinson’s eight-year-old daughter was playing in a children’s pool at Centre Parcs on Sunday when a middle-aged man approached, allegedly grabbing the young girl’s behind as he went by.
The young girl then told her father that a strange man squeezed her bottom cheek. After she identified the man, Robinson confronted him. The man allegedly admitted to pinching the young girl’s behind, but said it was “by mistake.”
According to Robinson, the man was in the children’s swimming pool with three other males and no children of their own.
When the man attempted to leave, Robinson restrained him and would not let him go until the authorities were properly notified. A struggle ensued and the man ended up with a bleeding nose and a black eye.
Security eventually arrived, but the police would not turn up for another three hours, Robinson said. When they did arrive, they arrested Robinson for assault.
Bedfordshire Police confirmed that officers were called to reports of an altercation at the holiday park.
“One man sustained an injury to his face, and received first aid at the scene,” a spokesman said.
“A 37-year-old man from Bedford was arrested on suspicion of common assault and has been bailed until April 2.”
Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
TR News released the following footage of the arrest, including the young girl’s account of what happened (language warning):
