Next year, a new rule will be introduced in the UK Advertising Codes, banning “harmful and outdated” gender stereotypes. A review by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) suggested, “harmful stereotypes can restrict the choices, aspirations and opportunities of children, young people and adults.
