Defaming Mohammed exceeds the limits of free speech, “goes beyond the permissible limits of an objective debate” and “could stir up prejudice and put at risk religious peace,” the European Court of Human Rights ruled on Thursday. The ruling came after the seven-judge panel upheld an Austrian court’s decision to convict a woman for calling Mohammed a paedophile. The 47-year-old woman from Vienna, known only as Mrs S, reportedly held two seminars titled, “Basic Information on Islam,” in which she detailed the marriage between Mohammad and his six-year-old wife, Aisha. Telescope Media Group is a Christian film company based in Minnesota. It’s a small family business, run by husband and wife team, Carl and Angel Larsen. Hidden away, near to the middle of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s ‘The Cost of Discipleship,’ rests a three page essay on marriage called ‘Woman.’ Why Bonhoeffer named this chapter so specifically is a mystery.  My best guess here is that he was looking to the growing ease by which society has sold and objectified sex. The chapter is an analysis of Jesus’ views on marriage, divorce and sexual immortality; or as Bonhoeffer states, ‘sexual irregularities’(p.85). The texts referred to are Matthew 5.27-32, 1 Cor. 6:13-15 & Gal 5:24, and it forms part of his larger discussion on ‘The Sermon on The Mount.’ What Bonhoeffer means by ‘sexual…

Amendments also include removing the need for trans people to have sex-change surgery before switching genders. The Australian Christian Lobby said the amendments essentially abolished gender, further “homogenised humanity” and “greatly diminished” the significance of birth certificates. Lyle Shelton from the Australian Conservatives…

“Let me control the textbooks and I will control the state.” This quote has often been attributed to Adolf Hitler. Whether or not he said it is beside the point. As sinister as it sounds, it’s widely held that, “he alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.” Educating children is an investment, and there are many fighting to invest in your children today in order to further their causes tomorrow. So, what are we allowing them to put into their textbooks? What sort of state, what sort of future, are we allowing them to create? And what are we…

Amnesty International agrees with Kristen Bell: Some of our fairy tales are sending a rape endorsing message to our children. “Don’t you think it’s weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission?” the Frozen star said last week. “Because you cannot kiss someone if they’re sleeping.” On Friday, ‘human rights’ group Amnesty International said Bell’s observations were correct. “So, Kristen Bell is right,” the group said on Twitter. “We need to talk about consent – and fairytales are an excellent place to start.” The group also released an alternative ending to the much love children’s classic, Sleeping Beauty,…

Senator Pauline Hanson has once again caused remarkable controversy by saying something entirely unremarkable. “It’s okay to be white.” Apparently this is highly controversial because an idiot said it once upon a time. That’s it. It’s not factually incorrect. There is nothing inherently intolerant, violent, hateful or inaccurate about it. Of course, if the outrageous motion put by the Senator to our Commonwealth Parliament was repeated in Cape Town, you can be sure Cyril Ramaphosa would be frothing at the mouth nearly as much as Senator Penny Wong is now. According to Penny, “everyone” knows the phrase is used by…

Judgement based on raw emotion is the reason for why we have due process and habeas corpus. This system is not without flaws, but erasing due process is equal to denying the right of habeas corpus. If that happens then everyone is bound; subjected to the whim of the mob or the mood of the ruler. Due process is as important as habeas corpus. Habeas corpus being ‘the removal of illegal restraint on individual liberty.’ (Burke)  Any removal, or denial of due process, would easily lead to the same thing happening to habeas corpus. Conclusions based on raw emotions about…

The Uniting Church (UCA) is the first major Australian Christian denominations to endorse same-sex “marriage” and offer gay and lesbians the option of a church ceremony. The decision, made at the Uniting Church’s national Assembly in July 2018, permits those being married in the Uniting Church to choose between two authorised marriage liturgies, the traditional language of “husband and wife,” or the updated version which refers only to “two people.” With the Uniting Church continuing to run headlong towards apostasy, and the ongoing rejection of the teaching of Jesus, how should Christians respond? Separation! A divorce from error is needed.…

What is a family? According to ABC Kids, it’s whatever you dream it to be. Because after all, “Love is Love,” or so says a new children’s musical track played on the kids’ station. The song, titled “Family (Love is Love), is performed by the Teeny Tiny Stevies, and is designed to teach kids that families are different – some children have two mothers and a father that visits once a week, but that’s fine, because “love is love.” But what does that actually mean? The phrase “love is love” became popular in Australia during the same-sex marriage survey, but…

According to LifeNews, Women Transforming the World (a project of the UN Population Fund, which has been known to support coercive abortion and involuntary sterilisation), told AFP “we’re not ready to talk about” abortion in Guatemala.” Without the abortion clause, the bill would provide social and educational support for girls who become pregnant and is slated to be adopted by Parliament. Another upcoming bill toughens abortion laws, prohibits same-sex…

Male same sex couples and single men will be able to have children through surrogacy under proposed amendments to Western Australian law. Lawyer Simon Creek from HHG Legal told 9 News Perth, now that same-sex marriage has been legalised in Australia, it follows that the surrogacy laws should change too. “At the end of the day we’ve got one, why shouldn’t we have the other? The country has voted on one issue and I don’t think if they’d been given the chance they would have given a different answer on this one,” he said. Creek said his number one concern…

The then Treasurer said, “It all starts when you allow religious freedom [to be eroded], mockery to be made of your faith or your religious festivals – it always starts innocently and it’s…

The banners promoting the Festival of Hope appeared on Blackpool Transport’s Palladium fleet. The event was to be held at the Winter Gardens, and featured American evangelist Franklin Graham. In 2014 Graham reportedly upset the LGBTQ crowd after he suggested the gay rights movement was orchestrated by Satan, as an assault against the Christian faith. “When [the President] fails to defend biblically defined marriage, and he openly and zealously advocates for gay rights… we know we are locked in a war against the Christian…
