It’s not Wong to say “It’s okay to be white”

Senator Pauline Hanson has once again caused remarkable controversy by saying something entirely unremarkable. “It’s okay to be white.” Apparently this is highly controversial because an idiot said it once upon a time. That’s it. It’s not factually incorrect. There is nothing inherently intolerant, violent, hateful or inaccurate about it. Of course, if the outrageous motion put by the Senator to our Commonwealth Parliament was repeated in Cape Town, you can be sure Cyril Ramaphosa would be frothing at the mouth nearly as much as Senator Penny Wong is now. Senator Pauline Hanson has once again caused remarkable controversy by saying something entirely unremarkable.

“It’s okay to be white.”

Apparently this is highly controversial because an idiot said it once upon a time.

According to Penny, “everyone” knows the phrase is used by white supremacists. I believe white supremacists also say ‘good morning’, ‘would you like fries with that’, and ‘God bless America’. Does Senator Wong expect us to believe that people that say, ‘it’s okay to be white’ or ‘good morning’ are secretly white supremacists too?

Get a grip on yourself, Lefties! Can you actually hear how utterly imbecilic you sound right now? Asked to confirm that racism targeted against whites is unacceptable, you cringe and cower at the thought of sounding even remotely racist.

The entire English language is being hijacked by cultural Marxists who refuse to allow anything to mean what it’s always meant anymore. ‘Reproductive rights’ & ‘health care’ now means killing your baby, instead of creating life and prenatal vitamins. ‘Phobia’ means ideological disagreement, instead of a pathological mental disorder requiring therapy. ‘Marriage’ means sexual attraction requiring government validation, instead of the timeless institution essential for the foundation of a family and the future of a society.

‘Equality’ means forcible oppression of any individuality or advantage gained by hard work or personal responsibility until everyone’s equally miserable, instead of the same opportunity. And instead of a natural pride in and priority of one’s nation, ‘nationalism’ now apparently means a deep seated hatred and fear of others that will inevitably manifest in a violent and vengeful attack upon on a bewildered refugee.

This is cultural Marxism at its simplest and most vile. Attack and criticise everything traditional, normal, conventional, accepted and true. It is acerebral and counterintuitive, creating a minefield of offenses so the most innocent of travellers cannot help but detonate a leftist sensibility with the most innocuous of conversations.

The polite and naive among us are loathed to cause offense, so they sincerely attempt to navigate the ever changing labyrinth of racial, sexual & religious faux pas. In so doing we concede inch by inch the society they seek to radically revolutionise until we have been defeated by our own niceness.

When we refuse to scoff at the plain idiocy of such demonstrations of confected outrage we create space for idiots on the other end of the spectrum – white supremacists – to be the only voices saying common sense axioms like “It’s okay to be white.” The danger in this is when politicians like the cowed conservatives of the Liberal Party refuse to risk voting for common sense, more and more people from the sensible centre begin to see less of themselves in the centre and more of themselves in the fringe.

This is precisely why the Liberal Party is being dragged to the left, and the nation with it, and why minor parties are created like One Nation and Palmer United who don’t really stand for anything except what everybody’s thinking and the Liberals aren’t saying.

We all think it’s okay to be white – mostly. But apparently it’s too scary to risk having minority fundamentalists like Penny Wong, Sarah Hanson Young and Derryn Hinch call you mean names. We all wanted Matthias Cormann and Christian Porter to come out on the front foot with something along the lines of, “Of course it’s okay to be white! It’s stating the obvious, and who cares if some white supremacists also say it? A stopped clock is right twice a day and it’d be juvenile to get offended when it agrees with a good one. The clowns you wanna watch out for are the people who don’t believe racist attitudes can be held by anyone regardless of ethnicity. There was nothing wrong with the wording of the motion on this occasion. Next question?”

That kind of strength & conviction would win elections, and starve the extremists of monopolising common sense.

Of course, if the Senators were allowed to think instead of need directives from the head lemming before voting, we’d see a much better standard of debate instead of this insipid stand-for-nothing, weak-as-dish-water apologies for being right. It’s a sham of a government if our Federal Senate could accidentally vote for something because they rely on emailed directives instead of representing their home state – a la federalism.

The forensic analysis of language association is paralysing politics. We should be talking about the issue: the rise of racism amongst minorities carefully nurtured by the grievance politics of the Left. Instead, the party of John Howard’s battlers and Robert Menzies’ forgotten people are exacerbating the victim Olympics by accepting the invalid premise that only white supremacists can say “It’s okay to be white.”
