Prime Minister Scott Morrison says, Australia is NOT a secular country.
The 2016 Australian Census revealed 52.1 per cent of the population identified as Christian, while only 2.6 per cent subscribed to Islam, and at least 30 per cent noted that they had no religion. Despite the plurality of ideologies in Australia, it’s not uncommon to hear people claim that Australia is a secular nation. What’s often meant is that Christianity has no place in politics. Which is a sentiment usually summed up in the now misunderstood phrase, “Separation of Church and State.” As Dr Stephen Chavura recently noted, there’s a common misconception that separation of church and state means religion…
Muslim Congresswoman mocks Mike Pence’s Christian faith.
Incoming Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar tweeted a photo of Mike Pence on Tuesday, along with a caption mocking his Christian faith. The image showed the Vice President with his eyes closed. Along with the photo, Omar tweeted, “Jesus take the wheel! #BorderWall” Now, obviously individuals should be free to mock others, especially their ideologies and religions. But I can’t help but wonder what the response would be if the roles were reversed. Just imagine Mike Pence poked fun at Ilhan Omar with a snide reference to Mohammed. There would be blood! Jesus take the wheel! #BorderWall pic.twitter.com/aEPle6HFF1 — Ilhan Omar…
There are only two religions.
Every religion outside of Christianity basically says the same thing: You must do such-and-such in order to earn your way to “heaven.” Where they differ is in what things you ought to do in order to earn your way to that promised eternal bliss. The idea that we can earn our way to heaven is as common to mankind as pride. And it’s tied to pride because it’s the refusal to acknowledge the fact that we have already failed the test. In the Garden of Eden, God told Adam if he ate of the forbidden fruit he would die (Genesis…
California wants a tax on text messaging, charges may be applied to messages sent up to five years ago.
“Tax his food, tax his drink. Tax him if he tries to think. Tax his sodas, tax his beers. If he cries, tax his tears.” Is there a poem that better sums up the state of California right now? State regulators want to introduce a tax on text messages in an effort to fund programs that make mobile phones services available for low income earners. According to Fox News, “charges may also be applied retroactively to messages sent in the past five years.” WATCH: California wants to tax text messages now, to fund free phones for illegals- uh, sorry –…
What if Mary gave birth to Jesus in, politically correct, abortion-obsessed, the-future-is-female, 2018?
Here’s how a committee meeting between Herod and his advisers might sound, if such a meeting were to take place in a Western context today. “This baby! This Jesus, his mother and father, is a threat to us! Committee members, you are asked to agree with Herod’s call for the genocide of all new born male Hebrew children. For by this child’s very existence, all the power structures that surround him stand unprotected. This so-called, “Prince of peace”, is a threat to safe spaces, our glorious goal of perpetual revolution and the power of its leaders.” “This child’s birth is…

Christian women face 6-months in jail for refusing to use their artwork to promote same-sex weddings.
Two artists from Phoenix, Arizona are facing 6 months in jail and heavy fines for refusing to create custom artworks promoting same-sex weddings. The Arizona Court of Appeals ruled that Joanna Duka and Breanna Koski, owners of Brush & Nib Studio, are required by Phoenix law to create artwork for same-sex wedding ceremonies because they “cannot discriminate against potential patrons based on sexual orientation.” According to Life Site News, “Not only are the Christian women threatened with jail time and fines should they refuse to create artwork celebrating gay ‘marriage’ because of Phoenix law, they could also be prosecuted for publishing a statement on…
Is disagreement in the Liberal Party better than the forced conformity of Labor and The Greens?
Brendan O’Neill has suggested, disagreement in the Australian Liberal Party may be healthier than the forced conformity of Labor and the Greens. On Monday night’s episode of Q&A, O’Neill said: “Labor and the Greens possibly have a more conformist take on [climate change, same-sex marriage, and multiculturalism] and possibly have even quelled any form of dissent within their ranks in relation to those issues. “You try being a Climate skeptic in the Labor Party, it’s not allowed. You try criticising same-sex marriage, whether from a religious perspective or a secular perspective, it’s not allowed… “If there is all this disagreement…
Islamic polygamous marriages are being funded by taxpayers: “The system is being ripped off… and the government is not doing anything about it.”
Senator Cory Bernardi, leader of the Australian Conservatives, told Sky News: “There is evidence that multi-member marriages are being funded through Centrelink. “We know that, and they’re saying it’s cheaper to do it like that than to actually address the problem,” Senator Bernardi said. “They have multiple marriages, they have multiple children, and the system is being ripped off. The government knows that. It’s not doing anything about it.” WATCH:
The sheep and the goats: The distinction between a Pilgrim’s Progress and a Progressive Pilgrim.
With over 2000+ years of thought, action and in some cases really good ideas, that simply just crashed and burned, Christian history is rich and vibrant. If we ignore this history and the theological enquiry attached to it, we turn our backs on faith, heritage and hard lessons learnt along the way. The old saying still reigns: “I believe in order to understand.” Unfortunately, we live in a ‘Just get me to the chorus’ era: “Give me the theological truth – but if it doesn’t fit in a MEME that I can like, share or wave passive aggressively at my…
Parents are losing their rights: Who owns your children? You or the state?
Dr Douglas Farrow said when Canada passed same-sex marriage legislation, consequential amendments to existing law followed. Among those consequential amendments was the language of natural parents and natural parent/child relations. According to Dr Farrow, such language was “struck from Canadian law and replaced with legal parent, legal parent/child relationships.” “Now you can see when that happens that the power of the state is hugely enhanced,” Dr Farrow added. “Hence the question asked by our own chief justice: ‘Who owns the children?’ Increasingly, the answer is the state owns the children and allots them, as it were.” WATCH:
Christian parents who refuse to endorse LGBTQ ideology could have their children taken away.
A law in Canada allows the government to remove children from their homes if the parents disagree with their child’s expressed gender identity. Tanya Allen from Parents As First Educators told CBN News that parents who refuse to allow transgender children to pursue surgical intervention could be seen as doing emotional or physical harm to the child. “I would argue, getting those surgical interventions and giving a child puberty blockers is actually harmful and not in the best interest of the child.” Allen said. “All the research states this.” “But the state, in that case… have it within their law…
Is homeschooling over parenting?
One of the more vicious stigmas attached to homeschooling, particularly by The Greens, is that homeschooling is the equivalent of child abuse. While this misconception and prejudice, isn’t shared by mainstream Australia, the view is reflected in the assumption that homeschooling is the equivalent of over parenting. Over parenting, however, is not the same as homeschooling. Over parenting involves doing everything for the child. Over parenting is the parent smothering the child in too much kindness. An old term for this is ‘’babying or pampering’’. This is a term more properly applied to the parents who refuse to let their…
The Telegraph urges men to give their wives permission to commit adultery this Christmas.
The Telegraph UK published a piece yesterday encouraging married couples to, at the very least, discuss the possibility of a “consensual non-monogamous” marriage. According to the article, titled ‘Why men should give their wives a cheat pass this Christmas,’ monogamy might not be the only approach to long-term relationships, because “contrary to popular opinion, women tire of their sexual partners faster than men, and need just as much sexual adventure and novelty as their male counterparts – if not more.” The article goes on to argue that monogamy is hard, citing a YouGov study that showed one in five British…
The Exclusion Zone contagion is spreading.
Queensland: Exclusion-zones went into force this week in Queensland, along with the state’s new act that moved abortion into the health code. Queensland is the fourth Australian state to enact the zones – this includes New South Wales, where abortion is still technically illegal; both territories also have the so-called ‘Safe-Access’ zones. Pro-lifers who wish to pray outside abortion mills and offer help to the women entering them will now have to stand 150m away from the entrance or risk huge fines and potential incarceration. Graham Preston, the prominent activist who is one party in the High Court challenge to exclusion-zones, has been…
WATCH: Leftist warring on free speech becomes a Christian, admits she was completely wrong.
Artist Bindi Cole Chocka, one of the individuals who took Andrew Bolt to Federal Court under the racial discrimination act has admitted she was completely wrong. The realisation came when Bindi became a Christian and found her Leftist, identity politics, victim-complex was incompatible with her new faith. In an interview on The Bolt Report, Bindi said: “It’s only in the last few years that I’ve come to realise what I’ve done. Which was, set a precedent with a law that’s limiting free speech and giving an over-reach to government. And I regret that now. I regret that part of it.”…
Muslims reveal their plan for the United States: Convert their kids, and their families will follow.
Muslims in Belle Glade, Florida say they’re planning on acquiring a public school in order to “educate” children as young as six weeks old in the Quran. “From six weeks old we will have them,” the men said. “From six weeks old, nap time, listening to the Quran. Sisters’ uniform, hijab… You start with the babies and then all the way up to high school. This is the intention for this facility here.” “Bring your kids to Islamic schools,” they went on to say. “Their kids will convert, and the entire family will convert to Islam… We can demonstrate it…
A good reputation is not proof of good character: substance trumps appearances.
God is love. It’s his character revealed – Love is His language – peace, long-suffering, patience, joy, kindness, it does not envy or boast it is not arrogant or rude, it is not irritable or resentful it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, endures all things. Love never ends. Among the three top things rated in life: faith, hope and love – love remains the greatest. (1 Corinthians 13) Sex is not God. Money is not God. Love is not God. Things we own? Not God. Social status? Not God – the…
Law Professor threatened with rape and murder after saying, “a woman is defined by law as biological not psychological.”
A UK professor has received a barrage of abuse after suggesting a woman is defined by law as biological, not psychological. Rosa Freedman, Professor of Law, at The University of Reading, posted a series of tweets detailing the backlash. “I found my office door covered in urine,” Professor Freedman said. “People are continuously calling my phone from an anonymous number, and when I answer I am laughed at and told that I am a ‘TERF’ who ‘should be raped and killed.’” “If this is how a University Professor is treated, little wonder that women who work in jobs without protection…
Speciesism is the new racism: PETA urges the public to stop using “speciesist” phrases like “bring home the bacon.”
PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is urging the public to stop using “speciesist” phrases like, “bring home the bacon,” because they trivialize animal cruelty. “Words matter,” Peta said on Twitter yesterday. “And as our understanding of social justice evolves, our language evolves along with it. Here’s how to remove speciesism from your daily conversations.” The animal rights group went on to highlight some every-day “anti-animal language” and offered a list of acceptable alternatives. Examples include swapping the phrase, “be the guinea pig” with “be the test tube,” and replacing “beat a dead horse” with “feed a fed…
