The South Australian butcher accused of vilifying Muslims with a “Non-Halal Certified” sign has refused to remove the signage from the shopfront window. A Victorian teacher who was allegedly unwilling to adhere to a Christian school’s Statement of Faith which defined marriage as a union “only between a male and female” is suing her former employer for discrimination. Rachel Colvin, a former teacher at Ballarat Christian College, has lodged a complaint with the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, alleging the school forced her to quit after she refused to adhere to the school’s policy opposing same-sex marriage. A university in Sydney is set to lower the entry bar for women wishing to enter engineering courses so that males with higher entry points don’t continue to dominate the industry. The University of Technology in Sydney will offer female students 10 more ATAR entry points than males students, in an attempt to address the low numbers of women in engineering fields. Australia Post celebrates the rejection of biblically defined marriage, releases ‘Love Is Love’ themed stamps
Government-owned postal organisation Australia Post has announced it will release a series of LGBTQ-themed postal stamps to celebrate the legalisation of same-sex ‘marriage’ in Australia. The stamps will feature the phrase, “Love is Love”, along with LGBTQ rainbows and homosexual couples embracing and kissing each other.
