Senator Cory Bernardi has announced he will begin the process of formally deregistering the Australian Conservatives as a political party after a disappointing result at the last election. In a statement posted on the Australian Conservatives website, Senator Bernardi said many potential voters returned to supporting the Coalition when Malcolm Turnbull was replaced by Scott Morrison. In a bid to avoid a Shorten government, hundreds of Party members claimed to have voted for the Coalition first followed by the Australian Conservatives. “Although we made it clear in the lead-up to the campaign that we were only running in the Senate…

Pro-lifers grow accustomed to all sorts of insults, the most unimaginative being ‘Fascist’ or ‘Nazi.’ But this pro-abortion writer takes the prize for being the biggest tyrant of all when he applauds abortion for wiping out the ‘undesirables’. His fairly bizarre article appeared in Quadrant this week, singing the praises of abortion, but also – surprisingly – of eugenics. The author, William D Rubenstein, apparently lives in Australia but used American statistics to prove his point that killing babies is good for society. Especially when those babies belong to underprivileged mothers. Rubenstein’s article makes three points: that abortion has long-term demographic consequences…

Israel Folau has come under fire yet again for saying absolutely nothing we didn’t already know. After Folau’s latest sermon was posted to his church’s Facebook page, mainstream news outlets took the opportunity to renew the assault on the former rugby star. Preaching at his Sydney church over the weekend, Folau “doubled-down on his homophobic beliefs,” “escalated” and “intensified his attacks on homosexuals,” “targeted transgender children“, and “criticised youths undergoing gender treatment,” according to news reports. The media, who constantly warn us about the dangers of being exposed to such a message, will no doubt draw even more attention to…

A Queensland couple are suing the medical staff at a Gold Coast ultrasound clinic for “wrongful birth” after failing to diagnose their unborn daughter with Down syndrome. The parents, who gave birth to their daughter back in 2015, said they would have aborted the now four-year-old girl if they had known of her condition. In 2014 the couple were allegedly told by both a doctor and a sonographer that the risk of a chromosomal abnormality was in the “low range” and advised that further testing was unnecessary. The parents have indicated they will seek damages for child-rearing costs, with the…

Progressivism has become so pervasive that it’s about time that a children’s book is written on the political left. We’ve all been wanting to understand those big words that are thrown around time and time again and so, for social education of knuckle-dragging-cave-dwelling-deplorables everywhere, here are your 21st century ABC’s. A is for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez AOC: The Fresh New Face of the Democratic Party, or as Ben Shapiro says, “So fresh. So face.” Never before have the ideals of communism been espoused in such eloquence and grandeur than through the lips of this 21st century feminist prophet. According to AOC,…

Killing newborn babies is morally the same as abortion, a publication in The British Medical Journal argued back in 2012. According to the paper, authored by Monash and Melbourne University academics, the “moral status of the infant is equivalent to that of a fetus”. The authors, however, go on to suggest that “neither can be considered a ‘person’ in a morally relevant sense.” The authors argued that “after-birth abortion” can be justified on the basis that the baby is not missing out on a life he or she cannot contemplate. Furthermore, considering that one-third of infants with Down syndrome are…

This morning in the New South Wales Parliament One Nation MP Mark Latham moved a motion in defense of religious freedom. During his speech, Latham said: “75 years ago today young men from across the Free World stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight for the liberty of all mankind… How then in 2019 are so many Australians worried about the loss of religious freedom in our country in peacetime?” Referring to the recent sacking of rugby star Israel Folau, Latham went on to blast corporate dictatorships and their influence in sport: In 1944 the Free World fought a dictatorial…

Mark Latham is today expected to move a motion protecting religious freedom and condemning Rugby Australia for their treatment of Israel Folau. The One Nation MP will also ask the NSW Parliament to condemn Rugby Australia for redefining the Bible as a form of vilification and ‘hate speech.’ The motion states: That this House calls on the Government to: (a) support the basic human right of New South Wales workers to express political, cultural and religious opinion in their private time, away from their place of work, without suffering employment penalties, (b) support Article 18 of the International Covenant of Civil and…

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported some Labor candidates have conceded their party’s federal election policy to liberalise abortion “lost them much needed votes.” Labor MP Susan Templeman said publicity campaigning against Labor’s abortion policy “had an impact”. She complained that it was inaccurate to claim Labor had an “extreme late-term abortion agenda.” However, Ms Templeman is one of more than ninety Labor MPs around Australia who belong to Emily’s List, an American lobby group which aims to change Australian laws to legalise abortion without restriction or restraint, including full-term abortion and full taxpayer funding. Labor laws passed in Victoria first and…

There can be no losers if there are no winners. That seems to be the philosophy some schools are now adopting, by phasing out the practice of rewarding high achieving students who excel above their peers. Students from St James’ Parish School in Victoria will now be required to compete against themselves and the personal achievements they set the prior year. According to ABC News, “Children celebrate not with a shiny piece of satin to pin on their shirts, but with the warm inner glow that comes from achieving a personal best (PB), and working together to beat the total…

In 2008 Prime Minister Kevin Rudd issued an official national apology for the mistreatment of Australia’s indigenous people. Since then, evidence has abounded that race relations have simply gotten worse with open resentment and even violent protests of Australia. The latest despicable display of racial bitterness is NRL star Cody Walker’s unoriginal refusal to sing the national anthem before the State of Origin opener. You’d never guess it’s actually “National Reconciliation Week” unless that means racist virtue-signalling week. Yes, the people complaining loudest about racism are plainly racists demanding obeisance. This week will potentially only serve to deepen resentment and…

A former PhD student is suing Queensland’s James Cook University for $3.125 million, after failing two subjects and being accused of plagiarism. Kuldeep Mann said the trauma of failing cost him his reputation and sex drive. “I’m no longer wanting to be on the bed, to share bed with my partner,” the 52-year-old told Nine News Queensland. “There is no such desire. No desire for anything.” This is the unfortunate result of cultivating a culture of entitlement. Not only do people imagine they’re entitled to more than they’ve earned, but they also almost entirely lack any concept of personal responsibility.…

Intelligence experts have said Australians would be safer if jihadi fighters who travelled from Australia were allowed to return home. Agencies including the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) reportedly told the federal government it would make it easier for authorities to monitor them if they were permitted to live in Australia. At least 230 Australian Muslims travelled to Syria and Iraq to fight alongside ISIS since 2012. About 95 of those were reportedly killed in combat. Presently, jihadi fighters can be prevented from returning to Australia for up to two years if they pose a threat to the community. WATCH:…

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will monitor donations given to Israel Folau’s church to assess whether the money is used to fund his expected legal challenge against Rugby Australia, the Courier Mail reports. Rugby Australia announced the termination of Folau’s $4 million contract last week, accusing the rugby star of a “high-level breach of the professional player’s code of conduct” after he quoted 1 Corinthians 6:9 on his personal Instagram account. According to the Courier Mail, there are “concerns” that supporters of Folau will channel money through his church in order to claim the donation as a tax deduction. An ATO…

It is slowly starting to dawn on some Labor voters that Australians with a traditional Christian worldview are feeling somewhat targeted. Entirely unremarkable beliefs consistent with the last few millennia of Christian doctrine have somehow become as repulsive as racism. Instead of debating our ideas, self-described ‘progressives’ attribute a diagnosis of phobia, a pathological mental disorder. Labor frontbencher Chris Bowen belled the cat, warning that religious Australians believe the ALP has abandoned them, according to a report in today’s The Australian. “I have noticed as I have been around during the election campaign, and even in the days since, how…

Labor’s Chris Bowen told voters, “If you don’t like our policies, don’t vote for us.” It was an applaudable moment of conviction and commitment I’d like to see more often in political contests. Tell the electorate who you are, what you believe in, what you honestly think is worth fighting for, and then let us choose. I asked my Uber driver yesterday if he was happy with the outcomes of the federal election, without telling him anything about me or my views. He offered that he was normally a Labor voter, but was greatly disillusioned by the way they’d “become…

A One Nation truck parked outside a shopping centre in Tasmania has been set on fire. The truck, driven by One Nation candidate Adam Lambert, was parked near a shopping centre at the time of the attack, while Mr Lambert was inside the store buying groceries. According to One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, an individual was seen torching the vehicle before fleeing the scene. Ms Hanson posted a video of the truck ablaze on Facebook saying, “Isn’t it amazing how the left call for tolerance all the time, but act like they’re above the law when you don’t agree with…

Saturday’s election saw Australians choose freedom and individual responsibility, over surrendering their country to globalist bureaucrats and their inherent totalitarianism. Against all mainstream media predictions which had handed the Labor/Green opposition the 2019 election, the discerning voter – Morrison’s “quiet Australians” – made their voice heard. In many ways, the outcome of the election illustrates that Leftists within the leftwing media are not reporting properly or honestly. They have a narrative and expect people to fall in line with it. This is the way we want you to vote, so “vote as we tell you to vote, or else.” Caldron…

Alan Jones has blasted Qantas, suggesting the major sponsor for Rugby Australia is also responsible for ending Israel Folau’s rugby career. Speaking to 2GB’s Ben Fordham, Jones said: “This is the same sponsor who has a contract with Middle Eastern airline companies whose treatment of women and homosexuals is repugnant. “We’re talking money from an entity which has a corporate engagement with international organisations whose treatment of women and homosexuals is totally unacceptable to the moral standards of Australians, but that’s OK. That seems to be OK. “It’s OK to punch someone and you get six weeks. It’s OK to…
