‘Yes Man’ actor Jim Carrey has urged Democrats to stop apologizing and just ‘say yes to socialism.’
Appearing on HBO’s ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ Carrey said, “We have to say yes to socialism – to the word and everything. We have to stop apologizing.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, Carrey, who has a net worth of $150 million, made $35,000,000 in 2008 on the film ‘Yes Man’, after forfeiting his upfront fee of $20,000,000 in exchange for a sizable back end-deal, which included a 33% ownership stake in the film.

Absurd as it is, the primary issue here is not the hypocrisy of millionaires with multiple houses lecturing others about the merits of redistributing wealth. What should concern everyone is the threat to freedom that socialism poses. Freedom and socialism are simply not compatible.
As Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA has pointed out, you can’t have small government and socialism.
“In order to get universal healthcare that Bernie Sanders wants or free housing and free all of this, you have to grow the state. What happens when you grow the state?,” Kirk explains.
“You have to take more stuff from people. You have to reduce freedom. You have to give more government agents guns. You have to grow the state and then, next thing you know, someone comes along and uses that for bad.
“That’s exactly what the founders tried to prevent against – the absolute perversion and takeover of power. So, not only is socialism the greatest killer of humanity in human history, but it’s also evil. It is anti-freedom. It’s anti-American…”
