Actress Michelle Williams was applauded by Hollywood elites at the 2020 Golden Globes after attributing her career success to aborting one of her babies.

The 39-year-old was awarded Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture for Television for her role as Gwen Verdon in Fosse/Verdon.

During her acceptance speech, Williams said: “I’ve tried my very best to live a life of my own making. Not just a series of events that happened to me, but one that I could stand back and look at and recognise my handwriting all over, sometimes messy and scrawling, sometimes careful and precise.

“But one that I had carved with my own hand. But I wouldn’t have been able to do this without employing a woman’s right to choose.”

Despite host Ricky Gervais asking award-winners to refrain from political speeches, Williams, who is currently pregnant, used her time to advocate abortion.
