A woman from Portland, Oregon has said she felt “invaded” after receiving a disturbing phone call from one of her husband’s employee’s. “Unplug your Alexa devices right now,” he said. “You’re being hacked.” In an “unlikely string of events” the couple’s Amazon Echo recorded a private conversation and sent the audio to the man without their knowledge. “I felt invaded,” the woman said. “A total privacy invasion. Immediately I said, ‘I’m never plugging that device in again, because I can’t trust it.” Amazon confirmed the private conversation had been inadvertently recorded and sent to a contact. According to a statement…

A council in Victoria has plans to “improve gender equality” by introducing female only pedestrian crossing symbols. Brimbank Council’s request comes after Melbourne’s city centre installed 10 female pedestrian lights last year. Mayor Margaret Giudice told the Herald Sun, changing the generic, genderless figure would “show women and girls that they are important and valued in our community.” Watch:

Abortion activists are at it again, attempting to introduce bubble-zones around New South Wales abortion facilities. As stated many times on this website, these so-called ‘safe-access zones’, also known as exclusion zones, are designed to stop advocates for life from offering assistance to desperate women who feel pressured to abort their children. They also hamper the freedom of political communication which should exist in a free society like Australia. They also hamper the freedom of political communication which should exist in a free society like Australia. Exclusion-zone law, very similar to that being proposed in New South Wales will be…

A high school in New Jersey will now accept everyone onto the cheerleading squad in an attempt to be more “inclusive.” The decision from Hanover Park High School staff came after a parent complained because her daughter failed to make the cut during tryouts. In a letter from the superintendent, students and parents were informed that the high school administration decided to “be more inclusive and not penalize any student” from making the squad that did not achieve the necessary score. Cheerleaders who had trained hard to earn their position were naturally upset by the decision. “I did not put in 18…

A New York judge has ruled President Donald Trump cannot legally block offensive or trolling Twitter users because it violates their right to free speech in a “public forum.” I sued the President, and I won. https://t.co/hE3rWcxIAY — RPBP (@rpbp) May 23, 2018 United States district judge Naomi Reice Buchwald said, “The president presents the @realDonaldTrump account as being a presidential account as opposed to a personal account and, more importantly, uses the account to take action that can be taken only by the president as president.” The Knight First Amendment Institute, representing seven plaintiffs who had been blocked, brought…

This is what happens when you don’t punish criminals. No punishment, no deterrent. Paramedics in Victoria have been given a list of more than 200 ‘no-go zones’ to keep them safe from potential attackers. This comes after two women were spared jail time for violently assaulting a 63-year-old paramedic. Judge Cotterell told the court, “imposing the [minimum] sentence at this stage would achieve little.” When the guilty are spared, the innocent will suffer. Watch:

You’d be forgiven for thinking this footage came from another universe. In late 2015, Stephen Colbert opened The Late Show by telling his audience, “We have a great show tonight. Donald Trump is here.” The announcement was followed by cheers and applause. “Everybody loves him,” Colbert said. Colbert went on to praise Trump for doing a “fantastic job,” and for running for president. “Speaking of doing a fantastic job, you are setting the world on fire right now… I want to thank you, not only for being here, but I want to thank you for running for president.” Watch:

A pastor in Cape Town has been sentence to 30 days in prison after disregarding court orders barring him from preaching about homosexuality. After making ‘hateful’ remarks in 2014, Rev Oscar Bougardt reached a settlement with the Human Rights Commission, agreeing not to make any further negative comments about the LGBTQ community. I may enter the court room and not come home to my family – my crime, preaching the Bible. However, last week the Equality Court found Bougardt continued to refer to homosexuality as ‘perverted.’ Bougardt also advocated the criminalisation of homosexual practices, reportedly suggesting a 14-year prison term,…

Andrew Bolt has told Richard Dawkins to ‘bugger off,’ after the renowned atheist sent a long list of absurd demands less than 2-hours before his appearance on The Bolt Report. Bolt explains: I invited him, he accepted. All good. Except 2-hours ago – less than – we started to get the first of a very long series of demands, restrictions on what we could actually talk about… ‘Don’t mention Islam specifically,’ Dawkins said. ‘I shall not appear if Islam is mentioned specifically’… Another demand, ‘don’t distinguish between Christianity and Islam’… ‘I shall not do so.’

Councils across Victoria are set to review educational resources to ensure stories and experiences go beyond ‘gender stereotypical narratives,’ the Herald Sun revealed. The move follows a study by the Australian National University which suggested, educators should avoid classifying children according to gender, like ‘boy’ and ‘girl.’ Researchers found, ‘prejudice along race and gender lines can be observed’ in children as young as three-years-old. According to the study, girls who played with ‘feminised characters’, such as Barbie, had fewer career options. It was also revealed that girls who played with Disney princess toys and boys who watched superhero shows were…

After it was brought to our attention that a Dymocks Bookstore was recommending transgender material to children, a number of negative reviews were left on the store’s official Facebook page. The reviews suggested that the store should not be promoting such material to children, given the fact that Australia’s Telethon Kids Institute has revealed close to 80% of trans youth had self-harmed, while almost 50% have attempted suicide. The store responded, suggesting these figures were due to lack of support in the children’s lives. It was then pointed out that even if that were the case, the store does not…

Rev Dr Gavin Ashenden, former Honorary Chaplain to the Queen, has responded to Michael Curry’s widely-praised Royal Wedding sermon. Dr Ashenden writes: The world is rightly talking about Michael Curry’s wedding sermon. It was a ‘tour-de-force’. He is very good at preaching. But it also offers us all an insight into the dramatic difference between the two kind of Christianity that are at odds with each other in the Anglican Communion. We will call them for the moment, ‘Christianity-max’, and ‘Christianity-lite’. Credit where it is due. ‘Christianity-lite’ can be very appealing. It reaches out to where people are hurting and…

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, is asked, is there anything good about socialism? The political and economic theory is often lauded as philanthropic, benevolent, and inherently just. But that’s simply not the case, says Kirk. “Socialism is collectivism and it’s based in the idea that I can put a gun to your head and take money away from others. Socialism is a creed of greed and of envy and of societal malpractice.” Watch:

We told you it was about more than marriage. Christians who claim that homosexuality can be “fixed” could soon find themselves being prosecuted as the Victorian government orders an unprecedented inquiry into gay conversion therapy. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the inquiry will capture registered or unregistered counsellors, as well as faith-based ministries, who treat homosexuality as a disorder, along with anyone purporting to convert LGBTI people through therapeutic means. Health Minister Jill Hennessy, who asked Victoria’s Health Complaints Commissioner to conduct the investigation, told The Age: We have zero tolerance for anyone purporting to ‘convert’ gay people through…

Leader of the Greens Party, Richard DiNatale appeared on Sky News to discuss changing Section 44 of the constitution. Section 44 sets out restrictions on who can be a candidate for Federal parliament. DiNatale explains: “There is this sort of inconvenient document that governs everything that we do called the Australian constitution… What’s got to happen now is absolutely crystal clear. We’re a modern multicultural nation. We need to change our constitution and make sure that everybody has the right to stand in our nation’s parliament.
