A “gay drag queen” from California has slammed the Drag Queen Story Hour phenomenon, saying parents who allow their children to participate in such events are “extremely irresponsible.” The San Bernardino-based performer known as Kitty Demure posted a short video to social media on Sunday, warning parents that their attempts to appear “woke” and “non-homophobic” are hurting the gay community, which “already has a reputation for being pedophiles.” “What in the hell has a drag queen ever done to make you have so much respect for them, and admire them so much?” Demure said. “Other than put on make-up and…

Police in Britain reportedly turned a blind eye to almost 100 Muslim pedophiles of Pakistani heritage for fear of inciting racial hatred, a report commissioned by Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has revealed. A New York art gallery featured a pro-abortion exhibition this week, displaying artworks from a range of feminist-activists hoping to “dismantle the stigma” attracted to the brutal practice of baby killing. The Abortion is Normal exhibition was described as “an emergency art show”, designed to provoke a “resurgence of energy and enthusiasm” about the topic of abortion. Jasmine Wahi, Co-curator of the event told Bloomberg, the show is important because it continues the fight to ensure women are permitted to freely end the lives of their unborn children. “The reason this show is important, aside from, I guess, the obvious,…

CNN anchorwoman Erin Burnett has suggested the Iranians chanting “Death to America” are only using the phrase figuratively, and “couldn’t have been more friendly” to her during her time at an anti-American rally in Iran’s capital. In a recent segment on CNN, Ms Burnett explains: “Well, I will say, I was in Tehran when they were chanting “Death to America” once. I was at a rally. The people couldn’t have been more friendly to me personally as an American. Ms Burnett continued, “It sort of felt like a thing and a trope, as opposed to anything that was actually seriously…

Islamic militants have carried out yet another attack on a predominantly Christian village in Nigeria, killing up to 13 Christians and leaving another three wounded. The assault was carried out on Wednesday evening by about 20 armed Muslim Fulani herdsmen. “They were shooting with guns in all directions, forcing the villagers to scamper into surrounding bushes,” an eyewitness told Morning Star News in a text message. “Corpses of those killed have been evacuated by soldiers and police to mortuary of Mangu Cottage Hospital; and all victims are members of [Church of Christ in Nations] COCIN,” he added. Just hours after…

The event, organised by Uni Students for Climate Justice, has been planned with the intent of calling on more funding for fire and emergency services, to call on an immediate transition away from fossil fuels, and to demand the sacking of Prime Minister Scott Morrison. In a post on Facebook, the organisers said: “We demand the government: Pay all firefighters and give them force full…

At the end of Isaiah, the prophet talks about the relationship between new life and the heat of judgement. Given the devastation we’re seeing from the immense fires since September in Australia, these verses have special relevance. This doesn’t justify arson, or the political opportunism seeking to advance, distract, manipulate and use the suffering of others to feed self-interest. The relationship between new life and the heat of judgement speaks to all of us. It’s here, and not with pyromania, or political opportunism that the Word found in the prophetic meets with the pyrophytic. Horticulturalists tell us that some Australian…

Judges in the UK have been instructed to issue harsher punishments for those found guilty of transgender or homophobic “hate crimes.” The new sentencing guidelines, issued by the Sentencing Council for England and Wales on Wednesday, says offenders found guilty of stirring up hatred should be sentenced to at least six months in prison, the Daily Mail reported this week. In a press release issued by the statutory body, Mr Justice Julian Goose, of the Council, said the guidelines were designed to ensure the courts have the structure needed to take a “consistent approach when sentencing public order offences.” “Public…

Sometimes you’ll hear a federal politician claim abortion is just a state issue. Yet in the lead up to this year’s federal election, the federal Labor Party announced a national abortion policy that sought to make abortion easier and completely tax-payer subsidised. They threatened state health funding if abortion wasn’t available in all public hospitals, promised to build an abortion facility in Tasmania, and “encouraged” NSW to liberalise abortion laws. Although Coalition politicians refused to be drawn on the controversial issue, the Australian Christian Lobby and Cherish Life campaigned against Labor’s policy. Labor lost the election, and Labor MP Ed Husic…

Covington student, Nicholas Sandermann’s $250 million defamation case against The Washington Post was dismissed late last month, after a federal judge ruled that the Washington Post hadn’t slandered Sandermann in its reporting of the infamous, so-called “standoff” between himself and Native American, Nathan Phillips on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Saurabh Sharma of the Dailycaller said the “judge threw out the case” saying that The Washington Post didn’t defame the Covington students, but were irresponsible with their use of “loose, figurative,” and “rhetorical hyperbole”. [i] This is despite The Washington Post, along with some Twitter users and others within…

It’s my fault killing babies is legal in Australia. I am responsible for the fact abortion on demand has been legally available for so long in Australia, and I’m sorry. The first Australian liberal abortion legislation was passed in the South Australian Parliament in 1969. Attorney General Robin Millhouse was the architect of the radical abortion laws. Forty-five years later he admitted great regret for laws which were [predictably destined to be] interpreted too widely resulting in abortion on demand. That legislation received the assent of the Governor and came into effect on January 8, 1970. However, the first legalisation…

Under current defamation law, social media users can be held legally responsible for third-party content on any post they make. The guiding rule seems to be: You posted it. You incited it. Ergo, you’re responsible for it. In other words, anything someone posts on my timeline or writes in the comments section, that is deemed offensive, defamatory or “hate speech” could end in a lawsuit. For those who only have a private Facebook account, there is currently no mechanic to prevent this from happening. The only real preventative measure is to keep an eye on comments or keep your friends…

Madonna’s promoters are firing back at the New York Post for allegedly lying about poor ticket sales for the artist. At the beginning of June, the New York Post’s Richard Morgan reported that ticket sales for Madonna concerts promoting her latest album, ‘Madame X’, were lagging and had ‘tarnished’ the tour. Morgan went on to compare previous ticket sales in much larger venues with current ticket sales the smaller venues chosen for the concerts, suggesting that the comparison indicated ‘Madonna was struggling to sell them’. Chris Willman from Variety magazine cautiously came to Madonna’s defence, citing promoter, Arthur Fogel, (Live…

Parents of a six-year-old schoolgirl have filed a complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario after their daughter’s first-grade teacher taught her there’s no such thing as “girls and boys”. In January 2018, the children, as young as six, were required to watch a YouTube video titled, “He, She and They?!? — Gender: Queer Kid Stuff #2.” The video contained statements such as, “some people aren’t boys or girls,” and there are people who do not “feel like a ‘she’ or a ‘he,’ and therefore might not have a gender. A couple of months later, parents Jason and…

The separation between Church and State is not a divide between secular and sacred. Nor is this separation a divide between public and private. Church and State are spheres of authority within the structure of good government. Simply put: one wields the sword, the other the truth of the Gospel. As such the Gospel balances out the ideology behind who gets to yield the sword, when, why and how. This is why every totalitarian state either twists theology or purges Christians and the Christian faith. They need to suppress God’s moral standard for His creatures, in order to justify their…
