A 26-year-old Florida man has “committed murder” just one day after being released early from jail to decrease the risk of spreading coronavirus in crowded facilities. Joseph Williams was freed from Hillsborough County jail on March 19 along with 164 inmates that authorities deemed low-risk. Williams was initially booked six days earlier with possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanour. Police in Greenville, Mississippi raided a drive-in church service on Sunday and issued $500 fines to the entire congregation, most of whom were elderly, without any access to smartphones or the internet. Police officers enforcing social distancing rules arrested a father on Sunday for throwing a ball with his 6-year-old daughter in a near-empty park. Residents in Louisville, Kentucky who refuse to stay home after being exposed to coronavirus are being fitted with GPS tracking bracelets and threatened with criminal charges.
