Rapper Ice Cube Fights Racism With Racist Anti-Jew Cartoon

America rapper Ice Cube is fighting racism against black people by posting racist, anti-Semitic caricatures of Jews on social media.

Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, on Saturday tweeted, “F*** THE NEW NORMAL UNTIL THEY FIX THE OLD NORMAL!”

The image attached to the tweet was a photograph of a mural depicting Jewish caricatures, which has been widely condemned for resembling Nazi-style propaganda.

Even The Guardian in 2018 condemned the mural as “offensive,” “antisemitic,” “full-blown Nazi” propaganda when it was revealed that then Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn backed the artist, Mear One.

Guardian journalist Michael Segalov wrote:

First, make sure to actually look at the mural. Don’t take a fleeting glance as you prepare to tweet your outrage, but pause for a moment and take it all in. Sitting around a table is a group of rotund men: one has a full beard, and is counting money. That, in and of itself, is an antisemitic symbol.

It’s not just the big, hookednoses and evil expressions that make this iconography offensive and troubling, these depictions mirror antisemitic propaganda used by Hitler and the Nazis to whip up hatred that led to the massacre of millions of Jews. This extends to the table these figures are sat at, resting on human bodies, as the Nazis also depicted.

Mear One, the artist behind the mural, even admitted: “Some of the older white Jewish folk in the local community had an issue with me portraying their beloved #Rothschild or #Warburg etc as the demons they are.”

If America really was racist towards black people, is Ice Cube suggesting we end racism with racism? Or would he simply rather shift the target of this supposed evil to another ethnic group?

Either way, you can’t cast out Satan with Satan.
