No, Peter Worland, everyone is born imperfect and broken

Peter Worland, executive director of Uniting tells us, “everyone is born in the image of God.” What that means, according to Worland, is that “every person is… not born broken, but born perfect. And that means every LGBTI person as well.” Is that what the Bible says, or is Peter Worland and his friends…

Peter Worland, executive director of Uniting tells us, “everyone is born in the image of God.” What that means, according to Worland, is that “every person is… not born broken, but born perfect. And that means every LGBTI person as well.”

Is that what the Bible says, or is Peter Worland and his friends at the Uniting Church, contradicting the faith they claim to profess? Here’s what the Bible actually says. You be the judge:

I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Ps. 51:5)

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick: who can understand it. (Jer. 17:9)

…we are all by nature children of wrath… (Eph. 2:3)

…the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth. (Gen. 8:21)

…just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned… (Rom. 5:12)

I would ask what Bible Worland is reading, but all evidence suggests he’s not reading at all! For a fuller understanding of what the Bible actually teaches on the topic, see the video below:
