“Jesus did live and historians say he was crucified,” Sky News host Andrew Bolt wrote in the Herald Sun this morning. Bolt, a self-described agnostic, was introducing a 10-minute segment from his Sky News program The Bolt Report. The piece features Anglican pastor and scholar Dr Mark Durie and addresses some of the historical facts that even unbelievers cannot avoid. In the video, Bolt explains, there’s no bigger story in the world to fact-check than the story of Jesus Christ. “No story has been more important, really, in being such a force for good as well, and I speak as…

This welcome to country has no place in Christianity

ByByDave PelloweDec 12, 2019
Many conservative Catholics are deeply concerned with a moment of unfettered pagan idolatry at their Youth Festival in Perth in recent days. I recently interviewed Mark Powell about his article regarding the use of indigenous protocols in Christian services and events and the danger of mixing Aboriginal religion with worship of the One True God. Little did we know such an explosive example of the worst kind I have ever seen would happen so soon following our discussion. This wasn’t at a government or secular event where ignorant obeisance to political correctness can be expected and maybe even suffered in silence…

I want to address the black-pillers out there, and not just the black-pillers but those who have friends, or family or people in their lives who are black-pillers. The Western world is assailed on all sides. Not only has Christendom failed to maintain its glory, but we have also imported all the pagan ideologies which enslaved the peoples of the rest of the world. We converted the Vikings, we made devil worshippers and human sacrificing heathen, who raped and pillaged the coastlines of Europe into the builders of the great northern European churches and castles. We did a lot of…

Banana on a wall sells for $120,000, man eats it, Western elites call both “art”

ByByRod LampardDec 11, 2019
Gene Veith once wrote, ‘secularists are genuinely unable to tell the difference between art that has aesthetic merit and art that has none.’ His words were part of both a critique and lament of the ‘State of the Arts’ and what the world of art has become. Calling art ‘the plaything of the rich’, ‘art is now considered to be whatever the artist does.’ Art has become a slave to the post-modern mind. Under the foppish, vain lordship of the unhinged, vague emptiness of moral relativity, art has lost all meaning. An ‘impersonal, dehumanised’ and desensitised public, is no longer…

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson just released a new election advertisement parodying the 2003 British rom-com ‘Love Actually.’ In the video, Johnson imitates Andrew Lincoln’s character by holding up cards encouraging a woman, imitating Keira Knightly’s character, to vote conservative on December 12. Johnson posted the video to social media on Tuesday along with the caption, “Brexit, Actually.” So, what do you think? Cheesy or brilliant? British public broadcaster Channel 4 sent an adult entertainer to a school in the UK to talk with young children about homosexuality and cross-dressing. Reuben Kaye, whose own website describes his act as “filthy-humoured”, took to Twitter on Monday to promote the video and mock Christians in the process, tweeting: “The wonderful people at Channel 4 sent me back to school to ask kids how they feel about drag. Me, a gay man talking to kids and God didn’t turn up and send us all to hell!! She must be busy.” According to Kaye’s website and promotional copy, his adult-only…

Islamic militants massacre 14 Christians during church service, five young boys among the dead

ByByBen DavisDec 10, 2019
Islamic militants have shot dead 14 Christians during a Sunday morning church service in Komondjari Province, south-east Burkina Faso. According to the Barnabas Fund, the December 1 attack left 14 members of the Ouba family dead, including five boys, 16-years and younger. The pastor of the church, Tchitchiéba Ouoba, was also killed. It was reported that the jihadist attackers slaughtered all but one male member of the congregation, while several women, and possibly young children, were said to have been left wounded. The Barnabas Fund said the leader of the church’s denomination, Tambougou Adjima, cried uncontrollably for ten minutes while…

I have a collection of inspiring quotes gleaned from the interwebs which I share to promote the philosophy of the Church And State Summit, an annual conference which equips Christians to be better informed and involved in important public issues. Today I shared one by a public figure who stands tall in the history of ordained Christian ministers who were not content to sit on the sidelines of history and let appalling social standards perpetuate injustice and oppression. Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr has many inspiring sermons which resonate with the purpose of the Church And State Summit, like…

‘People were coming around, wanting to arrange my funeral,’ says pastor who warned followers that nude gay pride events are harmful to children

Pastor Keith Waters received a death threat at his home, was harassed at his church and was hounded out of his caretaker job for sending one tweet that warned that gay pride events are harmful to children and that Christians should not attend them. Mr Waters, pastor of New Connexions Free Church in Ely, told his followers in June that LGBTQ Pride events promote a message that is contrary to Christianity and harmful for children. Mr Waters’ tweet read: “A reminder that Christians should not support or attend LGBTQ ‘Pride Month’ events held in June. They promote a culture and…

School children forced to share gender-neutral toilets: ‘it’s about inclusivity’

ByByStaff WriterDec 9, 2019
A new $80-million vertical high school in Queensland is the first school in the state to be designed specifically without boys’ and girls’ separate toilets. When Fortitude Valley State Secondary College opens in 2020, young students will only have access to 50 lockable ‘floor to ceiling’ gender-neutral toilet cubicles with shared basin areas. The only exception will be two male and female toilets in changeroom facilities which won’t open until later in 2020. Queensland Teachers’ Union president Kevin Bates said the new design was about “inclusion and accessibility,” arguing that gender-neutral toilets aren’t that “unusual” because “every toilet in our…

There’s only one Person the pirate from Neutral Bay despises more than the Queen of the Commonwealth, and that’s the King of the Universe who was born in a manger. Anyone daring to respectfully repeat His Words will be the target of Pirate Pete’s unbridled condemnation and vilification. Margaret Court and Israel Folau have been the criminals he’s persecuted relentlessly with his right to hate speech. Their crimes? They had the audacity to suggest God’s design for marriage was exclusive and that rebellion against God is likely to result in His judgement. “Is it not a tad presumptuous as to…

The Climate Change Blame Game and the Question of Cloud Seeding

ByByRod LampardDec 7, 2019
Inciting people to rage against their neighbour in the name of the environment, or because of concerns about the climate, has been a constant part of human society’s obsession with who’s to blame for acts of God, or natural disasters. In the pagan tribal cultures of the Americas, a bad crop meant another child sacrifice. Described by Cortez as ‘the most horrid and abominable custom; where many girls and boys and even adults, and in the presence of these idols they open their chests while they are still alive and take out their hearts and entrails and burn them before…

The False Prophets of Climate Change

The False Prophets of Climate Change

ByByJames JefferyDec 7, 2019
With the recent bushfires that have ravaged the eastern coast of NSW, many are proclaiming that the prophecies of environmentalists are being fulfilled before our very eyes. Leader of the global climate movement — 16-year-old Greta Thunberg — recently proclaimed the impending apocalypse of the world: Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money, and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you! But how bad are things, really? Sadly, we live in a post-truth age, which means that unbridled hysteria often trumps reality. And this…

The largest youth gender clinic in Australia wants to perform mastectomies on gender-confused girls under 17-years of age. According to The Australian, clinic director, Dr Michelle Telfer from the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne told the state’s mental health royal commission in July that mastectomies improved the mental health of trans boys and are “an integral part of the transition process.” The Telfer clinic, which treats children and adolescents up to 17-years, does not currently offer surgery, however, according to Dr Telfer “many” girls who identify as boys are asking for “chest reconstructive surgery.” Dr Telfer has called for surgery to…

The Story of the Trump Impeachment: A Tale of Two Bureaucracies

The Story of the Trump Impeachment: A Tale of Two Bureaucracies

ByByNick KasteleinDec 6, 2019
Democracy is a very old word. It comes from the Greek words demos meaning ‘the people’ and kratos meaning ‘power’. The opposite of democracy is aristocracy, the power of aristos, your ‘betters’ or, in other words, the nobility. History has repeatedly been shaped by the endless struggle between the strong who abuse power and the weak who resent it. In the 1800s, for instance, France had a people’s revolution. The commoners rioted. They killed a whole bunch of nobles. They burnt things. Overall they successfully de-fanged their aristos, thus ushering in a new era where the government would be for,…

There is no such thing as a ‘Free Education’

ByByJames JefferyDec 5, 2019
If you live in a major city in Australia, you’ve most likely come across a ‘Gonski’ advertisement. If you’re anything like me, you will have stopped to ask the question: “Why are those on the political left so insistent on providing a free education?” After all, if Gonski is ‘good for our kids’ and ‘great for our nation,’ why wouldn’t you support it? The idea of providing everyone with a ‘free education’ seems a benevolent goal. Nonetheless, what many do not know is that the promotion of ‘free’ education has played an essential role in the unfolding of Marxism in…

Australian schools are failing in maths, science and reading and have been getting worse for 20 years

ByByDave PelloweDec 5, 2019
All my kids have gone through the public education system, until now. I had some concerns about the education one of my kids was receiving a year or two ago and after interviewing with the head of senior students, he decided there was nothing the school could do to help. He advised me to vote for a political party which would put more funding into education if I found the system lacking. As a kindness and somewhat taken aback at both his brazen politicking and facile grasp on education policy I offered to not fully engage his assertion. However, I…
