Yet another marketing team dismisses 4.8 million potential customers to push their own social and political agenda.
Medibank Health Insurance has recently launched their latest campaign called #BetterwithaKiss. The message is set to run along side the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. A video released on MediBank’s YouTube channel, states:
Every kiss is equal, regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation. Every kind of love can be expressed through on single kiss.
The 55-second clip features about twenty shots of homosexual kissing, including two men kissing while they both cradle a toddler. Reactions to the video are as expected, with some questioning why a health insurer would be promoting a lifestyle that may result in severe health risks.
At any rate, it’s evident the campaign is simply another attempt to desensitise and abolish both family and sexual norms in Australia. What these companies ought to understand is, diversity and tolerance isn’t in forcing your political or moral views down everyone’s throat. It’s in understanding that not everyone is willing to swallow it.
