A 23-year-old man convicted of a myriad of sex-crimes will be released from an Iowa prison after claiming he now identifies as a woman. According to the Storm Lake Times, Iowa officials determined that Joseph Matthew Smith’s reduction in testosterone levels following his ‘transition’ puts him at a lower risk of re-offending. Smith, who was convicted of molesting a fellow student at Midwest Christian Services, also reportedly molested up to 15 children under the age of 13 before being sentenced to prison in 2015, the Iowa Sex Offender Registry reveals. At the time, the report found that Smith had a…

For seven years, Pete Benjamin lived as a transgender woman. It wasn’t until after Pete had undergone irreversible gender reassignment surgery that he realised his tragic mistake. “I thought that becoming a woman would make me happy,” Pete said. “It would be a different life. I’d have these lovely, flouncy dresses on and I’d be skipping through the tulips and stuff like that. It wasn’t– It wasn’t anything like that. “The counsellors and the internet did not help me one iota [by] saying you’re wrong in changing gender – they never said that to me. They said go ahead, they…

Agnostic historian and author Tom Holland has said Christians radically changed the way people treated sex and slavery in the classical world. During an exchange on The Big Conversation, Holland explained that Paul’s idea of lifelong matrimony, as an image of the marriage of Christ and the church, set in train a radical reconfiguring of the way that people came to think about sex and marriage. “I think, by and large, pretty much everyone now takes those assumptions for granted and we can see that,” Holland said. “In the 60s, in particular, there was this kind of sense that Christian…

A “gay drag queen” from California has slammed the Drag Queen Story Hour phenomenon, saying parents who allow their children to participate in such events are “extremely irresponsible.” The San Bernardino-based performer known as Kitty Demure posted a short video to social media on Sunday, warning parents that their attempts to appear “woke” and “non-homophobic” are hurting the gay community, which “already has a reputation for being pedophiles.” “What in the hell has a drag queen ever done to make you have so much respect for them, and admire them so much?” Demure said. “Other than put on make-up and…

A biological woman has been legally recognised as the “father” of the child she birthed, in a first for the state of Illinois. If that’s not confusing enough, the woman’s spouse, who is also transgender, will be listed as the “mother” on the child’s birth certificate, despite being born a biological male. “It was so crazy,” Myles Davis, 38, told the Chicago Tribune. “I never even thought the birth certificate would have misgendered us in that way.” Myles, and spouse, Precious, reported the problem to an employer at Equality Illinois and reached out to the LGBTQ rights group Lambda Legal,…

A 45-year old convicted sex offender has defended his child-pornography collection by claiming he identifies as an 8-year-old girl. During his sentencing, Joseph Gobrick of Grand Rapids, Michigan, argued, “I’ve always been an 8-year-old girl. And even in my drawings and fantasies, I am always an 8-year-old girl.” Gobrick also claimed the images did not constitute child pornography because they were mostly computer-generated images and were protected under the First Amendment. Police, however, said eight child victims were identified in the images recovered from his computer. Kent County Circuit Court Judge Paul Denenfeld found Gobrick guilty on three counts of…

From a post of mine from 2017 when I first engaged with Scruton on a serious level. His passing this week is a monumental loss, but his legacy, bravado and inspiration, will continue on. It is my hope that this post will exemplify why. In the video below, conservative philosopher Roger Scruton is interviewed for an hour and a half by Dutch journalist Wim Kayzer, as part of a series called, ‘Of Beauty and Consolation‘. The whole interview is worth watching. Since it is quite lengthy, my purpose here will be to share some of the more stand-out points. What this…

It was only a few years ago, during Australia’s same-sex marriage debate, that a group of LGBTQ protesters stormed the stage at a Coalition for Marriage meeting in Melbourne. The protesters were chanting, “Crucify the Christians”, while waving a banner that read, “Burn churches, not queers.” Many same-sex marriage supporters saw the protest as a brave and courageous stand for love and equality. A month later the slogans, “Crucify ‘No’ Voters” and “Bash Bigots” was painted across the side of a Baptist church in Wheelers Hill. At the time, Lyle Shelton, former head of the Australian Christian Lobby and spokesman…

The Daily Mail Australia is reporting Wilson Gavin died after suffering critical injuries in suicide about 7am this morning at Chelmer Railway station. I am, was, friends with Wilson. He has nothing to apologise for and is a hero we all should take notes from. He hated no one, and dearly loved his Roman Catholic Church, taking his religion very seriously. He loved the Queen and our Commonwealth, and passionately advocated for conservative principles as the best ideas for all of his fellow Australians. Like the stranger in the parable of the Good Samaritan, he thought it his Christian imperative to practically…

From Mao Xe-Dong’s genocidal regime in China, to the Third Reich’s extermination of the Jews, the history of Darwinian evolution is a path marked with human destruction. Various ideologies that surfaced during the nineteenth and twentieth century are evidence for the devastating effects of Darwinism when applied to society, and these continue to the present day. This has produced a new breed of social justice warriors, which has polluted the political waters creating turmoil and disunity. It stems from an acceptance of evolutionary theory, breaking down absolute truths, and replacing a moral compass with pluralism and the individual subjective experience.…

Headlines around the world claim the West has never been more divided. Tensions and frustrations increase as the gulfs between ideological, economic, environmental, cultural, religious and political positions grow wider and wider. It’s as though we are being pulled in very different directions all at once on just about every issue. As we look around ourselves, it’s hard not to see the cultural chaos. We’ve effectively thrown away the Bible as the basis for morality, law, justice, and truth. As a society, we now find ourselves wallowing in the incoherent pits of relativism without anything of any meaningful substance to…

Aynaz Anni Cyrus was born and raised in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Before she reached 15-years of age, she’d endured hundreds of lashings and was imprisoned close to 14 times. Her crimes included wearing nail polish and singing too loudly in public. But that wasn’t the worst of what Aynaz suffered in her young life. Aynaz was also repeatedly raped by family members, police officers and prison guards until, at 13-years of age, her father decided to sell her off in marriage. He pocketed $50USD in exchange for his daughter. According to Aynaz, her new “husband” soon took to…

A biological man who identifies as a woman is suing an Oregon beauty pageant after being refused entry into the all-female competition. Antia Green, 29, reportedly filed a federal lawsuit last week against the United States of America Pageants asking a judge to compel the organisation to accept his application and hand over “unspecified monetary damages,” Willamette Week reports. “I felt as though I was being invalidated,” Green said. “I felt as though the organisation was saying I am not a woman and I’m not woman enough.” Green accused the pageant of “discrimination” after they denied his application and returned…

The belief that people cannot change their biological sex is “not worthy of respect in a democratic society”, an employment tribunal has ruled. Maya Forstater, a researcher at the Centre for Global Development, was fired from her job after she was accused of using “offensive and exclusionary” language on Twitter. Ms Forstater had taken to social media to question government proposals to reform the Gender Recognition Act to allow people to self-identify as the opposite sex. In October 2018, Ms Forstater tweeted: “What I am so surprised at is that smart people who I admire, who are absolutely pro-science in…

The headline to an article on “10 daily” claims, “I have to hide my identity around religious people now.” The article itself tells a masterfully woven story about how a homosexual, Arab Australian got into an Uber with a Christian Lebanese driver. The driver assumed his passenger shared culturally-typical opposition to homosexual relationships and undefining marriage. Lebanon is 54% Muslim and 40% Christian so it wasn’t a wildly improbable supposition. It’s hard to assume the 6% of other or no religions would all deviate from that cultural norm. Ignoring the post-modern myth that your sexual feelings and behaviours define your identity assumed…

Australia’s largest free Christmas concert will this year feature an “international sex symbol” at their annual family-friendly event. The yearly event is said to attract close to 50,000 people each year, with millions of families across Australia tuning in…

Finnish parents have lost custody of their “mentally challenged” 15-year-old daughter after refusing to allow her to start hormone treatments to “correct her gender.” According to Svenska Yle, Nea was introduced to a new group of friends after she moved abroad with her family two summers ago. It was then that Nea’s appearance and behaviour began to change. Soon after, the teen told her parents that she now identified as a boy and that she wanted to immediately begin hormone therapy and eventually have her breasts completely removed. “She was only fifteen-years-old,” Nea’s mother said. “We couldn’t agree with her…

LGBTQI+ advocacy group Equality Australia has released a video on social media, essentially warning the public that the Coalition’s ‘Religious Discrimination Bill’ will give people a licence to express a Christian view of sexuality, leaving LGBTQ people vulnerable to diverse ideas. The video, featuring an LGBTQ activist who said he sometimes wonders if he’d “hate-f*ck all the anti-gay MPs in parliament” just to get the “homophobia out of their system,” warns the bill will “take away your rights at work, at school, and in hospitals…” How will the bill accomplish this? According to the video, your “rights” will be taken…

It was once said that if there is no God, everything is permitted. Every day, our post-Christian culture is demonstrating that to be true. The reason for this is because, without God, our culture has no moral ‘oughts’ and ‘ought-nots’. Actions and behaviours have no meaningful moral basis to conform to if concepts such as ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ only exist within our minds. If there is no God, then we are merely an unintentional and meaningless chemical by-product of time and chance working on matter. ‘Morality’ is ultimately incompatible with such a worldview. What one chemical does to another is…

A 12-year-old boy in the UK has started puberty-blocking treatment in an effort to “transition” to a female, making him one of the youngest in the country to do so. Terri Lammin told The Telegraph her son, Ash, insisted he was a girl from the moment he could speak. “When she [Ash] was three she said to me, ‘I’m a boy because you gave me a boy’s name – it’s your fault,” Ms Lammin said. “I remember feeling horrible because she blamed me. I’d never come across it before and I just went along with it. I just thought, ‘if…
