Anti-Israel posters appear around London.

Police are investigating after posters describing Israel as a “racist endeavour” were plastered around London.

According to The Standard, “The posters are believed to have been installed in response to the Labour party’s decision to finally accept the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism on Tuesday night.”

Transport for London (TfL) denied authorising the adverts and said they would be removed. A spokesperson for TfL said, “It is fly posting and therefore an act of vandalism which we take extremely seriously.”

“We have instructed our contractors to remove any of these posters found on our network immediately.”

While it’s not clear who is responsible for the posters, a group called London Palestine Action claimed responsibility for posters of a similar style in November 2017 which read: “Decolonise Palestine.”

The same group also shared several photos of the latest posters.
