Stonewall, School Report Scotland found:
96% of transgender students attempt self-harm.
40% attempt suicide.
In the U.S., The National Center for Transgender Equality found:
40% admit to serious mental health problems.
40% have attempted suicide.
Stonewall concluded the high rate in suicide and self-harm is caused by social rejection. Former transgender Walter Heyer suggests this is “false and misleading” because transgender people “have a serious mental disorder” which is being ignored, undiagnosed and perpetuated by normalizing transgenderism. Heyer cites Suicide.org which states, 90% of people who commit suicide suffer a mental illness at the time of their death and further points to a major study which found that 62.7% of transgenders suffer psychiatric mental disorders.
