The future has arrived, and it’s kind of creepy. Google have demonstrated their digital assistant’s ability to mimic human interaction over the phone. The bot is so convincingly human that it was able to book a hair appointment and make a restaurant reservation without those on the other end of the line realizing they were actually speaking to a machine.
